  1. 2018 Amateur Draft Results

My 16 team points dynasty league just finished the first round of its rookie draft (only players who signed). It went as follows: 1.1: Casey Mize DET SP 1.2: Brady Singer KC SP 1.3: Nick Madrigal CHW 2B/SS 1.4: Matthew Liberatore TB SP 1.5: Joey Bart SF C 1.6: Cole Winn TEX SP 1.7: Alec Bohm PHI 3B 1.8: Jonathan India CIN 3B 1.9: Jarred Kelenic NYM OF 1.10: Ryan Weathers SD SP 1.11: Nolan Gorman STL 3B 1.12: Grayson Rodriguez BAL SP 1.13: Jordan Groshans TOR SS 1.14: Trevor Larnach MIN OF 1.15: Ethan Hankins CLE SP 1.16: Logan Gilbert SEA SP I'll post the other rounds once they're done!
  2. I'll preach to the choir here. This is a great move for you, as Nola is really blossoming into a true ace this season and Realmuto can be top 5 at a position that'll give you a serious advantage over others.
  3. Given your needs, I'd say that this is a fair trade and you should go for it. Smoak and Schwarber have posted remarkably similar numbers on the season, and Gausman has not been playing very well. While I'd prefer to acquire a second baseman other than Schoop, whose skillset lends itself more to leagues with BA than those with OBP (even last year during his breakout season, Schoop only managed a .338 OBP), he possesses the potential to provide decent counting statistics the rest of the way since the Orioles seem disinclined to move Machado at the moment. I'd see if there's someone else besides Schoop you can get, but if not, I'd go for this deal.
  4. Happ or Markakis?

Thank you @HOOTIE and @Dr. Whom for your advice. Hitting actually seems to be more scarce than pitching in this league - the best hitting FAs are Brian McCann, Orlando Arcia, and Scott Kingery while the best pitching FAs are Jake Odorizzi, Trevor Williams, CC Sabathia, and Fernando Romero. That's why I was looking to upgrade at hitting via trade.
  5. Happ or Markakis?

I'm going to bump this thread. Looking forward to any input you guys might have.
  6. Happ or Markakis?

Hey all, Just received a trade offer that I'm considering - to trade JA Happ in exchange for Nick Markakis. This is a 16 team redraft roto league. Statistics that matter are R, HR, RBI, SB, and OBP on the hitting side, and K, QS, ERA, WHIP, and SVHD on the pitching side. My current team is doing well in a majority of the pitching cats, but not that well in the counting statistics on the hitting side. Roster: C-Willson Contreras 1B-Justin Bour 2B-DJ LeMahieu 3B-Matt Chapman SS-Johan Camargo 2B/SS-Joe Panik 1B/3B-Max Muncy LF-Tommy Pham CF-Ender Inciarte RF-Aaron Judge OF-David Peralta OF-Aaron Hicks UTIL-Francisco Cervelli BE-Jay Bruce BE-Zack Cozart DL-Joe Mauer P-Corey Kluber P-Zack Greinke P-Patrick Corbin P-JA Happ P-Michael Fulmer P-Chad Bettis P-Brandon Morrow P-Raisel Iglesias P-Chad Green BE-Ryan Tepera BE-Richard Bleier
  7. Who to Keep? Choose 7!

I'm going to bump this post. Thanks for any help, guys!
  8. Choose 7 of the following: Edwin Encarnacion Josh Donaldson Andrelton Simmons Giancarlo Stanton Jay Bruce Justin Bour Eric Thames Chris Archer Jacob deGrom Luis Castillo Roberto Osuna I'm pretty set on Encarnacion, Donaldson, Stanton, Archer, and deGrom, so it's really for the last two slots. This is a 6x6 league with the 6th categories being OPS and HDs.
  9. Trade for Conley?

Thanks for the two replies! I want to get more opinions on the Conley and Cousins for Batum and Gasol option.
  10. Who wins this deal?? Whir!

I'm a fan of the side that's getting Beal and Middleton.
  11. Hey guys! My team is out of the running for the playoffs, as I'm in 10th place out of 12 teams. In this league, everyone keeps five players. My keepers for next season look like LeBron James, Khris Middleton, Rudy Gobert, Marc Gasol, and Carmelo Anthony. I also have Nicolas Batum, who might be in the keeper picture too. I was offered Batum for Mike Conley. Would this present an upgrade for my keeper situation for next season? I was also offered Conley and Cousins for Batum and M Gasol. Would that be a better move to shape up to be competitive next year? Thanks for any help!
  12. This team is completely out of contention for this year (I'm team #11/12). There are three weeks left before the playoffs begin, but I'm at 50-76 and am 17 games back of the last team currently in line to make the playoffs. In this league, you can keep 5 players. My current keepers would be LeBron James, Rudy Gobert, Khris Middleton, Carmelo Anthony, and Marc Gasol. Other notable players on my team include Jordan Clarkson, KCP, James Johnson, and Nicolas Batum. I was offered a trade that may be interesting to boost the quality of my keepers: Trade Nicolas Batum Receive Mike Conley This wouldn't help me at all with Conley out until next season, but would this be an upgrade to my keepers? Would it help me out for next season to trade Batum away and get Conley?
  13. [WHIR] Rondo vs. Milos vs. Ingles

I'd also go with Ingles over Teodosic. He gives you some of everything and doesn't hurt you in any one category.
  14. Hey all, I've been getting offers from this one team for Kristaps Porzingis. This is a 10 team, 8 cat league with no keepers. My team is the following: PG: Kyrie Irving, Dennis Schroder, Eric Bledsoe SG: Will Barton, D'Angelo Russell, Austin Rivers (IR) SF: Robert Covington, Harrison Barnes, TJ Warren PF: Kristaps Porzingis, Julius Randle, Derrick Favors C: Karl Anthony Towns, Steven Adams I've been getting offers from one team such as Paul George and RHJ for Porzingis. Would it be too much (or too little) to counter with something like Paul George and LaMarcus Aldridge for Porzingis and Warren or Favors? The team has the likes of Giannis, George, LMA, Al Horford, and Rudy Gobert.
  15. Sanchez Trade

Thanks for all the replies, everyone. The other owner said that he would add ATL SP prospect Kyle Muller to the deal, but that's the best he can do (I was rebuffed when I inquired about David Dahl or Mitch Keller). I'm leaning towards declining, though. I put on the league chat that Sanchez is available, but the second best offer that I've gotten is Cole Hamels and a 2nd round pick in our yearly rookie draft, so I don't really think there's much interest for some reason. I'm sure that Stanton could get a nice return, but not sure if it'd be enough to actually warrant moving him. For instance, last year a star like Corey Kluber was traded essentially for Orlando Arcia and Jose de Leon. The league places a really huge value on prospects and the hype surrounding them, so I don't think I'd be able to get more than 2-3 top 100 prospects for Stanton.
