Although he looked meh, his receivers dropped a few easy ones and they had zero running game thanks to CMike. I wouldn’t write him off just yet. He was also without Hilton.

In your search, did you see any Dorsey photos where he's not wearing that same sweatshirt and hat? Dude needs to change once in awhile...

One thing is for certain, HBO should see an up-tick in viewers with this week’s episode of Hard Knocks.

  6. 2018 Vent & Rant Thread

I'm not sure what I think about keeper leagues, but I think my keeper league handles it fairly well - our auction league allows $50 in keepers, here is the basic contract structure: 1. 1st year a player is drafted they are an 'A contract' at whatever auction value is returned. 2. The next year the contract stays the same $$ and is now a B contract. 3. In year three however (C contract) $5 is added to the original contract. 4. Year 4 the player goes back into the pool. When a new team is added (i.e., someone quits), that new team gets to choose players from the pool of non-keepers (not rookies) at whatever contract $ is set and it then becomes an A contract. Since I joined the league, we've had to replace a few teams and for the most part, these new teams have been competitive with this system in place. The Gurley/Bell/Fournette keeper example from above would never happen since all of these players initial A contracts are well over 50 at auction time. We did however have a guy last year in our draft get Kamara for peanuts, so he'll have him this year for the same contact, and then a 3rd year at $5 more....then he'll go back into the pool.

That's the hang-up with OBJ's new contract getting signed, Giants looking to squeeze in some of this language...

‘Because he’s on the reserve/did not report list, a failure by Gordon to report by August 7 will keep him from earning a year of credit toward free agency. Which will continue to keep him at only two years of credit toward free agency. And that will tie him to the Browns at least through 2019.’ https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2018/08/05/josh-gordon-may-end-up-an-exclusive-rights-free-agent-next-year-too/

No reason to be an a**. I saw the report through my FF player news feed (CBS sports FF), no way to link it here (that I know of). Rapaport over reports so hopefully his source is wrong.

The GB backfield will be an interesting one to watch during the pre-season as it is a cluster **** at the moment. If he is able to remain healthy (a big if), I suspect that Monty might be the only one worth taking a risk on at his current ADP. If I were to draft tomorrow, I would probably pass on both Jones and Williams.

Good to see that you're using those first couple of posts wisely... Thanks for the knowledge. /s
