  1. Looks like I'm eating cro this past week with Yordy. 333/500 with a 5-3-5 line. The score is now tied 1-1. Two weeks to go. I would draft him mid 30's. There's just too many sure things for me to go earlier than that. Arenado might even slip to the end of round one. That's how rich the pool is.

  2. Some guy said my team was trash after he lost 6-5-1. He claimed I wasn't going to get a bye week because he was going to get it, and that he had the better team built through draft(I think he meant inaugural draft of this keeper league). He still has Arenado and Freeman. My first 4 draft selections 3 or 4 years ago was Miggy, Jose Fernandez, Charlie Blackmon, and Jason Heyward. I replied:

Over the past 3 or 4 years these were my non keeper draft selections starting with most recent:

    Contreras #130ish

    Meadows #160

    Ketel Marte 250

    Jorge Soler 300

    Willie Calhoun 300+

    Previous years:

    JoRam 140

    Eugenio Suarez 200

    Mike Clevinger 200

Which one of us drafts guys worth a damn past top 100?

    Somehow we became rivals.

Oh, and I got the bye week, and he dropped to 4th.

Wait a minute, did I say elite? Because this is what I meant: xOBA's and OBA's were comparable to this crowd: JoRam, Yelich, Stanton, Bregman, Lindor. His soft hit went from 20% in 2017... to 8% in 2018. 8 F****** SH%. His hard hit went up from 33 to 48%. And those numbers are including his slump. IFFB? From 11% to 3%

This is a different hitter here folks.

People forget he actually missed time last year. He might have flirted with a 40-120 season if he hadn't.

Most people don't know that it was an adjustment to keep his hands lower to keep the bat in the zone longer that propelled the surge in batting average. He basically traded a few walks for home runs

    He's 27

Same park as last year... "Home Run Ballpark"

They added Puig. Winker's gonna be 100%, and he was up there for ROY before getting hurt

You should be all over this guy in the 40's, let alone the 50's

He's now one home run shy of being tied for the major league lead.

Anyone expect him to pitch deep enough into his next start for a chance at the win ?

I know they are stretching him out, so hard to say how many pitches or innings he'll go. He's always been fantastic against SF who he faces at  home tomorrow. Unfortunately he won't help me unless he nabs a win. Not sure if he'll get enough leash to go 5 or 6 innings yet. Curious what you guys are expecting.

I think he gets 4 innings. I read somewhere dodgers were planning an extra inning every start

  5. I'm getting Contreras cano Laureano and maybe Suarez back this week. Segura back soon too but he doesn't matter as much. Losing joram and kiura really hurts SB. Playoffs next week, hopefully a bye. 1 game back of 1st and .5 from 2nd. 2 bye teams so I need to spoil the #7 seed from making it to 6th whose been having a Cinderella second half. Fun times when you go from favorite to edge of your seat having to pick up leury Garcia and Howie Kendrick trying to regain ground on a bye week

  6. My playoffs start next week. Not sure if he has two starts this or next week. I might even have a bye for next week. At least for me, he'll have a shot at a win come playoffs every week. Merry Christmas to one of his biggest supporters even before he got hurt way back when. #drafted

  7. If I go in Yahoo and hit last 14 days in a standard league on Sept 20th, and he's not ranked top 100. You, yes, you would have won a trade asking for top 75. This timeframe that's he's in right now is a very common adjustment period and it happens to be playoffs for fantasy. Good luck.

  8. Not a good week

Current DL(7): JoRam, Suarez, Hiura, Contreras, Laureano, Cano, Segura is on leave.

Likely to get everyone back but JoRam. Hiura, Suarez(the best ones) in time for playoffs a week from now.

Half game out of a bye week against the team currently 1 spot out of making playoffs. Top 3 teams fighting for 2 byes all within a game.

I sorely regret starting ReyLo against the Braves chasing wins and k's

Edit: Oh and Yahoo "blessed" me with the 6th pick overall for football

From 8/17-8/27 (the time period you're referencing here), Yordan was 8/30 with a .267 average. In that span, he had four doubles, four homers, eight runs, seven walks and ten RBI. His OBP during those ten days was .395, with a wOBA of .452. His slugging percentage was .800, and his OPS was 1.195. His ISO was .533, and his wRC+ was 192. Oh, and his BABIP was .235.

Whatever you're trying to accomplish in this thread, you're doing a terrible job of it.

My stats are correct from 8/18 through 8/25. It was a week's worth of games, not 10. That is my error.

Moreover, his last ten games: 8/35 2 home runs with 10 runs and 6 rbi's. A far cry from 2nd/3rd round material. Let's see what he does over the next 3 weeks.

You might wanna consider another source for your stats, because in the last 7 days, he's hitting .353, with 3 Hr's, 6 rbi's, and 6 runs scored.

I used game log from the day before I posted. If he heated up since then it's not on me. I already referenced the time you should have looked rather than lazily hitting last ten days a couple games later.

I’d be very interested in looking at his batted ball data from last year to this year. Im curious if he was attempting to raise his launch angle this year? That could explain the cold 1st half and increase in power numbers this year. He could be finally putting it all together. Glad I kept my faith in him whatever the case.

Increase in power numbers? He missed a month of baseball last year and still finished with 34 hr and 104 rbi's. He was on Pace to hit 41 last year. Not much has changed. And yet here we are, picked in the 50's mostly, and just 4 pages in. He put it together last year.

  12. I've generally felt the same about closers. This year I drafted Smith, Strop, and waiver added Holland on speculation. How close was I to having zero closers at the end of July as a result of not investing a little earlier? There's more turnover in the back end. Yates has like 8 walks this year. He will be fine. I did not enjoy finally finding and rostering mediocre MaGill or trading for Iglesias because it became a necessity.

Bats are bountiful. Pitching has been a dumpster fire. Time to invest in elite pitching to avoid that headache.
