Starting up a new 12-team ESPN keeper league and looking for active owners who are willing to participate this year and in the future. The buy-in is $100 deposited through LeagueSafe prior to the draft. The league is a keeper league and is also a version of an empire league, more on that below. The initial draft for this year is set to be held on Tuesday, September 3rd at 8:00 p.m. EST.
Roster Construction: 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 2 FLEX, 8 BE, 1 IR (16 total slots, 8 starter + 8 bench)
Scoring is a little funky: QB points - 0.06 per yard, 5 pt TD and -3 INT; RB/WR/TE points - 0.1 per yard, 0.25 ppr, 6 pt TD; 2 point bonus to all positions on 50+ yard touchdowns.
Top 6 teams record-wise will make the playoffs beginning in Week 14, top two teams receive a first round Bye.
$200 FAAB budget for waivers
This league is a multi-year keeper league. You can keep up to 3 players every year, the deadline to lock them in will be a few weeks before the yearly draft and after the draft order has been determined. There is no limit to how long you can keep a player (outside of the Empire settings spelled out below). The pick loss penalty for keeping players is -1 round for every year you keep them. So if you draft someone in the 1st round, you can keep them for as long as you'd like for your 1st round pick every year. If you want to keep someone you drafted in the 9th round the first year, you'd lose your 8th round pick the next year, then the 7th round in the third year and so on and so forth. If a player who is kept from one year to the next is traded to another team, this rule still applies. So let's say you kept a guy at a 5th round price and traded him, the next year the owner who now has that player can still keep him for the same -1 round penalty (a 4th round pick in this case). A guy picked up off waivers is said to be equivalent to being drafted in the 16th round that year, and the next year would be able to be kept for a 15th round pick. If a player is dropped by the original drafter and then added by another owner, that player is kept at his draft round, not the 16th round of a guy undrafted and picked up off waivers.
EMPIRE LEAGUE RULES
An Empire League is usually a dynasty format, but this league represents a modified version of the concept. The buy-in every year is $100/team, but the pot for the season is $1,000 not $1,200. Payouts are $675 to 1st place, $175 to 2nd place, $75 to 3rd place, and $75 to the highest scoring team during the regular season. The extra $200 is rolled into the next season and held separately as the "Empire Pot". Every year, another $200 is added to that pot. When a team wins the League is back to back seasons, they receive the entire Empire Pot (plus the 1st place money for that year). From that moment on, all keepers on every team are reset and the League will re-draft. In other words, when a repeat champion occurs it is like the League re-starting from the beginning with no keepers and no extra pot.
