  1. DJ LeMahieu 2019 Outlook

DJ is the everyday 2B, period. I also see him hitting 1st or 2nd in the Yankees order. High OBP, solid contact hitter with low strikeouts. DJ Hicks Judge Stanton Andujar Sanchez Voit/Bird Gardner/Frazier Torres
  2. New York Yankees 2019 Outlook

Just get rid of Boone now and we'll win it all.
  3. Gleyber Torres 2019 Outlook

Nope, it doesn't really have any bearing on Torres. 34-year old Tulo isn't going to force Andujar or Torres into part-time roles. If Tulo's hitting then they'll find ways to get him playing time. Right now he's the teams utility infielder.
  4. Gleyber Torres 2019 Outlook

Voit is a real poor fielder. But I'm not expecting much from Tulo either. I could see a situation, especially when Didi gets back, where its best to go DJ at 2nd, Torres at 3rd, Andujar at 1st, Voit at DH, and Stanton in LF. Though Yankees are still hopeful on Bird, who is just 26 years old. Much better fielder than Voit and a LH bat. Perhaps he can get himself on the right track in 2019.
  5. Troy Tulowitzki 2019 Outlook

34 years old and could never stay healthy. I'd be surprised if he makes it healthy through Spring Training. Its a longshot but no risk to the Yankees.
  6. DJ is a good depth signing for the Yankees. He'll be more of a utility infielder. Tulo is not playing everyday. They're going to do their best to keep him heathy and productive. Maybe he'll play 60% of the games in the field while Didi is out. It's pretty evident they're not pursuing Machado any longer. The other 2 teams (ChiSox, Phillies) want him more.
  7. Tulo signing has no impact on the Yankees pursuit of Machado. Machado is expected to sign with the Yankees any day now. It's possible Tulo doesn't even make the team, but I'm hopeful the signing works out. If he's healthy then it's a great situation for him.
  8. What do you mean Mike Moustakas? He hasn''t signed. Are you talking about last year when he got just about no offers, even after a big year? Because it seems like you're disagreeing with what I wrote when you bring up Corbin next. Corbin is a different situation, where you had an inept organization overpaying greatly. He's obviously going to take that deal right away. Especially when the Yankees didn't make an offer and only told him they'd be comfortable with a deal for far less. Corbin was an outlier. Otherwise, the offseason has been very quiet in regards to free agency.
  9. Just the way free agency has been in recent years. Guys take a while to sign and still get the money.
  10. Maybe the White Sox want to trade Jose Abreu to the Yankees. Just sayin.
  11. Pitchers are rarely worth the risk of big contracts. Hitters are more worth it. They will still look to sign Corbin but wanted 2 starters, and don't want to spend a buttload on 2 of them.
  12. Yankees now shifting their focus of the offseason to Manny Machado. Looking to get him on an 8-year deal. Machado wants 10. Around 8/260 is what I'd expect to be offered. Maybe not shifting their focus, its a very busy offseason for the Yankees but they'd like to have Machado in a Yankee uniform by the start of Spring Training 2019. I don't blame em!
  13. New York Yankees 2019 Outlook

Yes, you don't want to be stuck overspending on free agents that you aren't that crazy about. Have to let teams know you're seriously interested so they don't go trade with someone else. They aren't just going to wait around for you. Yankees also want to add 2 SP, so 1 via trade and then look to sign Corbin is the ideal.
  14. New York Yankees 2019 Outlook

Lookup Simonetti Source on Youtube and Twitter. He has been pretty reliable when it comes to Yankees news. Jack Curry has even gave him props publically on twitter. He's who I got this from and he's been right many times in the past. He doesn't reveal his sources, but he's said in the past it comes from "family." And its important to note that your Jon Heymans, Joel Shermans, etc. are not sources but just reporters who never really reveal where they're getting information. Jon Heyman especially I feel has fallen off in getting good info from sources. These guys just built a reputation from being right often and having jobs with YES, NY Post, MLBN, etc. to add to their credibility.
  15. New York Yankees 2019 Outlook

I said they are slightly closer but there's "still a lot to do" for any deal to happen. Not exactly close but they have been progressing. From what I hear, they've agreed on the first player that the Yankees would send to the Tribe. They're working out what other players would be included.
  16. New York Yankees 2019 Outlook

Yankees and Indians are slightly closer to making a trade that would send Carrasco to the Yankees. Still a lot to do.
  17. New York Yankees 2019 Outlook

Yea Profar could play SS or 2B while Didi's out, depending on where they prefer Torres. Then when Didi returns, Profar could become the starting LF or just move all over as a super utility guy.
  18. New York Yankees 2019 Outlook

CC averaged over 5 IP per start (29 starts) and had a 3.65 ERA. That's pretty solid for a 5th starter in the AL East. In comparison, JA Happ had a 3.65 ERA in 31 starts, averaging under 6 IP per start. Everyone wanted him back. And he'll be looking at a multi-year deal for more money.
  19. New York Yankees 2019 Outlook

Yankees are interested in Jurickson Profar. Looking to do Gray for Profar but Rangers want aother prospect in the deal.
  20. There's no better offseason in any other sport. So much speculation.
  21. Segura isn't happening. Going into his age 29 season with 4-years left + 5th year team option or $1M buyout. He also has a reputation as somewhat of a clubhouse cancer.
  22. New York Yankees 2019 Outlook

Exactly. He's going into his age 33 season. 2 years left that are guaranteed, + an option or buyout in the 3rd year. They want to get the best return while they can. They're also looking to give a guy like Ryan Merritt the opportunity to start. And Bieber is obviously in their plans. They have some other young guys with a lot of promise not too far away.
  23. CC returns with the Yankees for 2019. 1yr/8M
  24. New York Yankees 2019 Outlook

Yankees are meeting with the Indians to discuss Kluber. Seeing what kind of deal it will take. Sounds like Kluber is more likely to be moved that Carrasco. Mariners also being sellers...Paxton?
  25. New York Yankees 2019 Outlook

Voit is not going to hit .333/.405/.689 in 2019 but Yankees will give him the opportnity. Especially since having him at 1B will allow them to spend more in other areas of the team. If he fails miserably, then maybe Yankees get Edwin Encarnacion for a cheap rental.
