  1. There are five teams in two of my Fantrax leagues that are in need of owners to play the role of spoiler for the remainder of the season as a result of teams missing the draft. Because these teams didn't attend, they have a weak roster and so any owner who takes them over would be left with the task of keeping things interesting, doing well with very little and retooling for next year (it is a keeper league with an auction style draft). Ordinarily, these leagues would cost money to enter, but I do believe the league commissioner will allow you in for free to keep the league as competitive as possible. From experience, a team who grabs good players off waivers in the early going can move ahead of much stronger teams so if you're looking for a challenge, this maybe it (One of these teams did have four solid keepers and has five players to build around so might be your best hope of remaining competitive). If interested, feel free to message me at jarrett_gabriel@yahoo.ca.
  2. I'm in a fantasy baseball league called Baseball Gods that is looking for at least one new owner (and possibly more) to attend the draft this Saturday. It is a keeper league of sixteen teams with an auction style live draft and a 5 x 5 roto category format (with quality starts replacing wins). The draft begins this Saturday March 2 at 2 pm Eastern. Other features include 20 man rosters, 4 minor leaguers, 4 DL spots, 4 keepers etc. Although last season was free, this year will involve a fee of approximately $5 to make use of additional features unique to premium leagues (The deadline for payment maybe negotiable so that you can attend the draft for free without commitment). If any of you would like to join this league, I can forward your message to the league commissioner. Email: jarrett_gabriel@yahoo.ca
  3. I think it all depends on your league format. In my 6x6 league that rewards on base and slugging percentage, I intend to target players like Joey Votto, Gallo, Santana etc. because these guys take a ton of walks. What I'm less clear about is evaluating pitchers like Scherzer and Sale. In my league, pitchers can only contribute in four of the six categories whereas in standard roto, they contribute in four of five. I initially thought of lowering the values of all my pitchers, but if the pitcher's probable replacement is also weaker, does a pitchers value in general go up, down or stay the same?
  4. I've sent your address to the commissioner and asked that he let you join.
  5. Hi Scott, I'm in a fantasy baseball league called Baseball Gods that is looking for a new owner. It is a keeper league of sixteen teams with an auction style live draft and a 5 x 5 roto category format (with quality starts replacing wins). Other features include 20 man rosters, 4 minor leaguers, 4 DL spots, 4 keepers etc. Although last season was free, next year will involve a fee of approximately $5 to make use of additional features unique to premium leagues. If you are committed to attending the draft and playing actively until the end, I can forward your message to the league commissioner.
  6. I'm in a fantasy baseball league called Baseball Gods that is looking for a new owner. One thing I would like to improve next year is having all of the teams committed to attending the draft and playing actively until the end. If any of you would like to join this league, I can forward your message to the league commissioner.
  7. I'm in a fantasy baseball league called Making Baseball Fun Again that is looking for two new owners. It is a keeper league of twelve teams with an auction style live draft. It is in a points format so the team who accumulates the most points wins. Other features include 25 man rosters, 5 minor league spots, 5 DL spots and 6 keepers. Although last season was free, next year will involve a fee of $6.66 to make use of additional features unique to Fantrax premium leagues. If you're committed to attending the draft and playing actively until the end, you are most welcome to join. Email: jarrett_gabriel@yahoo.ca
