  1. Just need 1 more and we'll get the draft started! We're also using the GroupMe app to swap messages about the league if that's a selling point for anyone to join.
  2. Welcome to the Knox Baseball League! Email me at aaronodell15@gmail.com if interested!! Currently need 7 more.... The Constitution: Quick: 14 teams weekly h2h points $100 buy-in (initial buy-in will be $155.71 – this includes your $50 retainer to keep your spot in the league (once you leave the league this is forfeited and is used to entice an owner to take over your team with only a $50 buy-in) and $5.71 towards league fees on Fantrax - $5.71 x 14 = $79.99 (rounding)) Play on Fantrax First Slow Auction for Major Leaguers and then a separate minor league slow auction will be held on Couchmanagers and will start as soon as we have 14 managers signed up and paid. League fees kept with Fantrax Treasurer 1. LEAGUE OVERVIEW The entry fee will be $100 and voted on in subsequent seasons by all of the owners. Total payments will be $155.71 for the first season, and $105.71 in subsequent seasons (depending on Fantrax fees). This should help keep all owners interested and participating year-in and year-out. However, if a team decides to drop out, we will offer a $50 discount to a new owner. (If, for some reason, the league gets cancelled at any point, all funds including the $50 rollover fee and the Dynasty Jackpot will be distributed evenly amongst all current owners). This is a dynasty league in which you may keep up to 40 of your players in any given season. All rules are subject to change in successive seasons based on a league-wide majority vote. The league will be hosted on Fantrax and all league fees will be paid and held through Fantrax Treasurer. You won’t be allowed to join the league until you pay the fee. League Format is weekly H2H Points League with a three-round playoff. Commissioner: Aaron O’Dell Contact – aaronodell15@gmail.com 2. OWNERS The league will have 14 owners, each managing their own team. Co-owners will be allowed. Each Team will have to be named after an actual MiLB League team and add their logo in. Each owner is asked to please promptly respond to any e-mails from league members or the Commissioner concerning league matters (active owners only). Owners are free to trade at their own risk but any sign of collusion will be dealt with harshly and will lead to expulsion from the league. 3. FIRST YEAR AUCTIONS The initial league draft will be an extended (slow) auction starting as soon as we have 14 managers and will be held on Couch Managers. Although this is an auction draft, it's important to note, the auction is for DRAFT PURPOSES ONLY! Once the draft is over, players will lose any monetary value. Major League Auction - Each team is allotted $350 for 30 major league players consisting of 20 starters: 10 hitters and 10 pitchers, and 10 bench players of any position. Only players in the major leagues or with major league experience can be nominated in the major league auction. All foreign players and players in the minors are ineligible for this auction and must be drafted in the minor league auction which will be held directly after. Each team can nominate up to 5 players at a time, so there will be a maximum of 70 players on the board at any given time. Nominated players will be on the block for 12 hours. With each bid made, the time will reset for 12 additional hours. There is a pass option, so once a player hits a price you think is too high or if it’s a player you don’t want in on, if you’ll please press the pass button, it will expedite the draft by telling Couch Managers how many people are left in on an individual player. Once an owner’s nominated player is sold, they may then nominate a new major league player. A player becomes sold once a 12 hour time period has lapsed since the last bid has been made or all other managers have passed on said player. Couchmanagers is set up for this type of Auction, so you can only have a max amount of bids out based on your budget remaining and your open roster spots. The Minor League Draft will be an auction running alongside/subsequent to the Major League Draft with each team allotted $200 budget on the 10 minor league players in Year 1. You may nominate up to 5 players here as well. Players that are eligible to be drafted in the minor league draft are any player in the minors or majors who are not Major League-eligible yet (these players are designated on CouchManagers with an MiLB designation). 4. ROSTER COMPOSITION Rosters will be comprised of 30 major leaguers and 10 minor leaguers for a total of 40 players (5 DL slots will be available once the season begins). The 30 major league players include 10 bench spots (can be used on any combinations of hitters and pitchers) and 20 starting players; 10 hitters and 10 pitchers. Hitters include a catcher, a first baseman, a second baseman, a third baseman, a shortstop, three outfielders, utility – any position, utility – any position. Pitching staffs can be any combination of 10 starters and relievers. During the season, each team will also have a max of 5 DL spots. However, when determining keepers at the close of a season, the total # of players able to be kept is still 40 (You can possibly end a season with 45 total players if each DL spot is being used) Minor league players must be promoted to the active roster upon being called up or your lineup will lock. Basically put, if one of your minor league players is promoted to an MLB roster, you will have to make room for them on your active roster. If they go back down to the minors, you can move them back to a minor league slot. For keeper purposes, if they are on a major league roster at the end of the season, they will have to be kept in an active roster spot. If in the minors at seasons end, they may be retained using a minor league slot. Please note that bench spots can also be used for minor leaguers if you would like, so the true total number of minor leaguers that you can have on your roster is 20. 5. IN-SEASON ROSTER MANAGEMENT Teams will have a FAAB budget of $500 to add players during the season. FAAB will run daily with the process time set for 3 a.m. – any dropped player must sit in waivers for a minimum of 24 hours. Any player is eligible to be added as long as they are listed in fantrax database with the exception of players drafted in the June Amateur Draft and any international players who signed after the start of the season. There is a limit of 7 moves per week. $0 bids are allowed. Trades can be made at any time. FAAB money cannot be traded. Draft Picks can be traded at any time but only for the following season (no trading draft picks for two, three, four years down the road). The trade deadline will be August 15th of each year. No trades will be allowed between that date and the end of the fantasy season. Trades will then be allowed once the season is over and can continue even after keepers are chosen and during the draft. All offseason trades will need both owners to pay their next season league fee before it can be approved by the Commissioner. All trades will process immediately upon agreement between the two managers. If another owner disagrees with the trade, they are to speak with the Commissioner. If it is determined between the Commissioner and the other manager that a vote need be held, there will be a three manager committee consisting of the Commissioner and his two selections for the first year but following the first year, the committee will consist of the first and last place teams from the previous season. If two out of three vote that collusion occurred, the trade will be overturned and a warning will be issued to both managers. If it happens again, the league will vote on potential expulsion with no refunds provided. All said, this is a dynasty league meant to have fun and you should be able to do whatever you want with your team – we’re all paying the same amount and all want to win but at the end of the day, let’s talk baseball and have fun (while I win your money). 6. OFF-SEASON ROSTER MANAGEMENT In the off season, there will be a major league and a separate FYP (First year player)/minor league draft to add new players (the vision is for this to be done via text/email with each person getting 12 hours to make a selection – if they choose sooner, we move on to the next pick). These will be two separate drafts. The draft order will be based on reverse order of finish from the prior year for both drafts. This order will be maintained throughout the draft – i.e. if you finish last, you get first pick in each round of both drafts, if you finish first, you will get last pick in each round of both drafts. Final order is determined by the playoff outcome to determine the last six draft spots (champion gets 14th pick, runner up gets 13th, etc). The first eight spots are determined by final regular season standings. In the event of a tie in the standings, points will be the first tiebreaker (with the losing team receiving the higher pick). If points are even, H2H record will be used then ultimately a coin flip (done by the Commish) will be conducted with be used to determine the draft order. In this given scenario, you would draft until your rosters are full, i.e. if you keep 39 on your active roster, you draft in the first round only (of whichever draft you prefer depending on your roster). Same scenario for the minor league/first year player draft. 7. FORMAT AND SCORING Two (2) teams face each other in a Head-to-Head matchup each scoring period. Each team earns points based on statistics accumulated by its players during the applicable Weekly Scoring Period. Point values are listed in the table below. For each Head-to-Head style matchup, the team with the greater number of points during a Weekly Scoring Period will earn a Win and the team with the lesser number will earn a Loss. Ties will occur, and will remain as ties. In the event of a tie in the playoffs, the team with the best regular season record will advance. The next tie-breaker will be H2H Record. Batting Category Point Value Single 1 pt Double 2 pt Triple 3 pt Home Run 4 pt RBI 1 pt Run 1 pt Base on Balls 1 pt Stolen Base 2 pt Strikeout -0.5 pt Caught Stealing -1 pt Hit by Pitch 1 pt Pitching Category Point Value Win 7 pts Save 7 pt Quality Start 3 pt Strikeout 0.5 pt Base on Balls -1 pt Innings Pitched – 3 pt Hits Allowed – -1 pt. Lineups may be adjusted up to 1 minute before that players scheduled game time that day. Not setting a full lineup is not permitted. We should be able to put together a solid roster throughout the season. Habitually not setting your lineup will result in discussion amongst the league as to further action (loss of draft picks or possible dismissal from the league with the forfeiture of your $50 retainer). 8. PLAYOFFS There are no divisions. The teams with the six best records will make the playoffs. The teams with the two best records will receive first round byes. The playoffs will begin in Week 22. Ties in the standings are resolved in this order: Total Points Scored, then Head to Head Record, and then Points Against. Playoff ties will be resolved in this fashion: Most regular season wins, followed by H2H record. The finals will last for two weeks. The playoffs will be reseeded each week with the lowest remaining seed (1) facing the highest remaining seed still standing (if 5 beats 2 and 3 and 4 are still in, then 1 would face 5). Non-playoff teams will still play to determine the final standings. 9. YEARLY AWARDS & DYNASTY JACKPOT Total Pot - $1400 First Place - $800 Second Place - $400 Third Place - $100 Dynasty Jackpot - $100 ($100 will be added to the jackpot until it is won) The dynasty jackpot will be awarded to the first team to win 3 championships (does not need to be sequential). Once a team has won 3 league championships, the jackpot will start again at $100. Any questions or revisions, please contact the Commissioner at aaronodell15@gmail.com Rules subject to change. Thanks!

  4. Still need 8. As soon as it fills up, we'll start the slow draft.
