  5. Won't return in upcoming series April 28, 2019 Manager Brad Ausmus said Ohtani (elbow) will not play during the team's upcoming home series against Toronto, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Registerreports. ANALYSIS Ohtani has been increasing his workload, most recently hitting in a simulated game. He is set to get about 40 plate appearances in similar action across the next week, so he is not yet ready to return to the club. The team does play a second series during their upcoming homestand that begins on May 4, and Ausmus may have left the door open for Ohtani to return then, depending on how he progresses this week. https://www.rotowire.com/baseball/player.php?id=12739 I’m ready for some bombs
  6. Mitch “Helen” Keller solid outing today. 6IP 8K 0ER 3BB
  7. Well I take that back. He’s starting today. Guess it was nothing.
  8. Just left knee inflammation. No reports indicate major injury. He will probably just rest a game or two.
  9. April 19, 2019 Ohtani (elbow) threw from 90 feet Friday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports. ANALYSIS Along with stretching out to 90 feet, Ohtani also took batting practice with his teammates for the first time since the injury. The two-way player's return date remains up in the air at this point, although it'll likely depend on how he fares against live hitting, which is scheduled for next week, per Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times. The Angels will travel to Mexico on May 4 to begin a two-game series against Houston, and according to Ardaya, Ohtani has made it known that he'd like to be back in action by, or even before, that date. "Would I like to take him to Mexico? If he's ready, I'll take him to Mexico." stated skipper Brad Ausmus. https://www.rotowire.com/baseball/player.php?id=12739
