  1. League is in its 21st season - first time on Yahoo (ESPN lost us, like so many others, last year). We are a hyper-competitive, yet fun, bunch. We convinced 3 of our 12 teams to back out of the league for being absentee and less interested. We're at 9 now and are looking for 10 or 12. If you are hyper-competitive and think you can beat the best, we're the league! Roto format 10F, 5D, 2G, (4BE, 4IR) G, A, +/-, PPP, SOG, FOW, HIT, BLK (we were among the first to add HIT and BLK in the past and this year decided PIM is no longer relevant and added FOW instead) W, SV%, GAA (goalies are still important, but not the whole game like many other leagues) We're looking at a pay league (still TBD) and looking at some negative incentives for those who don't play all their games (maybe a financial penalty for the pool if well short of max) Draft is Sunday night the 29th, 9PM - plenty of time to prep If you fit this profile and are glad to FINALLY find a hyper-competitive roto league (without adopting a crappy dynasty team), consider us and reply with questions. If you're starting a league that's not getting traction, consider us and reply with questions. Game on! P.S. Most of us are in the Boston area. Not in any way a requirement (we have others elsewhere), but if so we try to get together a couple times for banter.
  2. How would you describe your competitiveness?
  3. P.S. Sorry for the very late response, Sensational. This site usually tells me when I have a new message, but didn't. I'm checking regularly now if you're still interested.
  4. Price will be determined shortly. Between $50 and $250. Payout likely 70/20/10. We haven't done a $ league before, but feel it will help keep people from going absent (and we booted 3 players from the league due to that, so we should be in great shape). Do you have a preference on the $? If still interested, please tell me more about yourself and your fantasy hockey history.
  5. Are you still interested? Could you tell me a little more about yourself and your fantasy hockey (and other) history?

  7. I'm a 20-year ESPN commissioner (3-time winner) bailing on what has become too much of an absentee league. I'm looking for the following: roto, competitive & active league, HIT & BLK as offense categories, no more than 4 goalie categories and goalie categories shouldn't be more than 1/3 of total points. Those are the most important. $ or no $ - doesn't matter. If taking over a dynasty team, please no POS. Contact me if interested! (Have 1 or 2 others that might join too if room. Similarly active and competitive.) Oh, and draft preference close to opening day. Thanks for considering.
  8. I'm interested. Please provide details of the team, but also the categories used in the roto league. Also, how active is the league, especially late in the season.
  9. Could you tell me the categories (+ bench and IR spots)? Also, I just left a 20-year league that I commissioned because players stopped playing halfway through the season. I'm very competitive and hoping everyone is the same. Could you let me know how that works with your league?
  10. I a 20-year ESPN fantasy hockey commissioner. Unfortunately, as our players have gotten older, they've begun to care less about playing halfway through the seasons. 3 of us are hyper-competitive and would contend every year, but it sucked ending on a virtual 3-team league. So, I'm looking for a new league! I'm looking for a Roto league filled with competitive players (preferably no $, but I'm open to anything). I haven't done dynasty yet, but again am open to anything. Preferably it would be what ESPN used to call a "Champion's League" of former league winners. Oh, and I think 10-12 teams in the league is probably ideal. Again, open to anything. ESPN's service fell apart last year, though that's all I'm used to. I'm open to any platform. I strongly prefer HIT and BLK included (plus, of course, G, A, PIM, +/-, SOG, STP (or PPP), GAA, SV%, and W - I wouldn't even mind getting rid of PIM). If you're looking for a player like me, I'd love to join your league!!!
  11. Details of this league? Roto or H2H? How active? Does everyone play until the end? Categories? I'm looking for a very competitive league. I left the league I commissioned for 20 years because everyone but the top 3 would stop playing halfway through the season. That's no fun.
