  1. 15 team, 5x5 Roto Auction with $300 salary cap In my league the top 30 players bid on in the auction must be kept for two years. This year Jameson Taillon went for $40 out of a $300 budget. I am in desperate need of pitching and have been offered ERod and Taillon (and his $40 salary) for Eduardo Escobar. Is the risk of having to keep Taillon for $40 next year worth the risk of getting him and Erod for practically free? WHIR
  2. My team has been in a tailspin the past 2 weeks so I am looking to shake things up. 15 team 5x5 roto with some complicated keeper rules. Basically we have a $300 salary cap going into the draft and can keep players for 2 years. I have been offered Syndergaard, who cannot be kept, for my Josh Bell who can be kept for $2. Since it is a 15 team league closers are very difficult to come by so he wants my Greg Holland too. My other 2 closers are Hansel Robles and Jeremy Jeffress. My starting pitchers are Verlander, Boyd, Eickhoff, T. Richards, Musgrove, Marco Gonzalez, and I have Heaney coming off the IL soon. Is this a good sell high for Bell? This guy also has Nola, Paxton, and wheeler, should I ask for one of them instead? Thanks! WHIR
  3. And they are calling for a lot of snow Thursday into Friday in Minneapolis. I am benching him in my weekly league.
  4. In a 15 Team 5x5 Roto Keeper league. I have Max Kepler for $3 and was offered a $14 Jessie Winker for him. Is there any upgrade here or are the essentially the same player for a more expensive price? OR should I jump on Winker while his original owner is still willing to sell?
  5. 5x5 Standard Roto Due to keeper rules and bad luck I entered the year with nearly 20% of my total salary tied up in Lance McCullers and Zack Godley. I went with the stars and scrubs approach to fill out my pitching staff with Verlander and a bunch of garbage. So obviously I need a shot in the arm to get my pitching staff competitive. The Severino owner approached me about acquiring Joe Musgrove (who probably is my second best pitcher) Eduardo Escobar (who is emegency 3b when Donaldson gets injured) and Adam Frazier (who is my backup 2B when Murphy gets injured). Should I get Severino and try to survive the month or so for a huge upgrade or is my team already too full of question marks to take another gamble on an injured pitcher?
  6. Typically the top 2-3 pitchers go from $50-60. The next 5 go for $35 to 50. So if I grab Scherzer or Sale I would have like $10-20 to spend on the rest of my pitching staff. I am in a tough spot.
  7. 5x5 15 team Roto $300 auction with 8 keepers The keeper rules for my league state that the 30 most expensive contracts during the auction have to be kept for 2 years. Due to this I am stuck with a $22 Zack Godley and a $32 Lance McCullers and I only have about $70 to spend on the rest of my pitching staff. Obviously, I am in desperate need of an ace. Luckily, 7 of the top 10 SPs are available this year. Out of these starting pitchers who is the safest to bid on knowing that I have to keep them this year and next or should I just focus on cheap pitchers later in the draft and hope to get lucky... Max Scherzer Chris Sale Justin Verlander Geritt Cole Jacob deGrom Corey Kluber Blake Snell Stephen Strasburg ... a big gap due to keepers... Jameson Taillon Chris Archer Charlie Morton

  10. Rumor is minor leaguer Nate Orf is on his way to Milwaukee. So that seems like a DL stint is in Yelich’s future.
  11. 15 team 5x5 Roto I would give G. Sanchez, Daniel Murphy, and Rasiel Iglesias I would get Charlie Blackmon and John Hicks Who is the most likely to turn their season around? thanks! WHIR
  12. So Syndergaard is now going for a second opinion on his finger. I can’t imagine that’s a good sign. Anyone else thinking of trading him away before worse news comes in?
  13. 15 team 5x5 Roto I feel like my team has solid pitching for a league so deep but I feel like I’m lacking a little power. Would you trade away Alex Wood for Joey Gallo? If I traded away Wood I would put in Nova or stream a SP or middle reliever. Or should I not panic this early and stay put? My Team: C - Gary Sanchez 1B - Brandon Belt 2B - Paul DeJong SS - Trea Turner 3B - Rafeal Devers OF - Betts, Yelich, Odubel Herrera U - Jorge Soler, Cole Calhoun, Randal Grichuk Bench - Colin Moran, Ahmed Rosario P1 - Robbie Ray P2 - Zack Godley P3 - Lance McCuller P4 - James Paxton P5 - Alex Wood P6 - Mike Foltynewicz P7 - Marco Gonzalez P8 - Keynan Middleton P9 - Felipe Rivero Bench - AJ Minter, Ivan Nova
