  1. I don't think I'd be aggressive in trying to upgrade at catcher. Maybe if you could buy cheap after disappointing seasons from Sanchez and Contreras last season. With the catcher mention and your minor league roster, it reminded me of an interesting article that Eddy Almaguer has at Prospects Live. You can find the article searching "Stop Rostering Catchers" in Google. I followed Ralph Lif****z over to that new project from Razzball if you're not familiar with Prospect Live. Quickly turning into one of my favorite fantasy sites.
  2. An oil was aj puk. Lose free keeper on nola, Baez, and conforto next season. So trying to use him as a trade chip this off season
  3. We can keep 8 and we get free keepers for four years of guys that graduate from our minor league team. Comforto is a free keeper for this season. Kershaw is not. So our league has 96 keepers + young free keepers say another 80 players of various talent. I think I'll have 8 or 9 draft slots. Predraft my starting lineup looks like: Alfaro Votto Baez Michael Bregman Betts Stanton Wil Myers Nelson Cruz - util Conforto who can be replaced by Deverz - until Nola Kluber Carlos Martinez Bench of Franklin Barreto, Manuel Margot, Byron Buxton, Erick fedde. Also have baby vlad and Robles on minor roster. An oil and Kyle Wright are closest pitchers. Just wish old have drafted acuna instead of maitan back in 2016. So need starting pitching and relievers.
  4. How low does he need to fall in a keeper/dynasty league before you pull the trigger to buy on him "low" and add him to your team? I was offered Kershaw for Conforto today. Very tempted based on my roster makeup (Comforto is only a keeper for me this season).
  5. If interested please contact me at nickrieder@uwalumni.com We're looking to fill a team in our 12 team dynasty league started in 2004. Most of the league met via a sports gambling forum and are from across the U.S. and Canada. The team is made up of 30 major league players (+5 DL) and 15 minor league players (can keep all players forever). It's a 5x5 standard roto league via Yahoo. There is a yearly draft that is upcoming that includes all un-owned major league players, 2018 June draftees and any international signings made after the start of last year's draft until this year's draft starts. Number of draft picks are determined based on how many players are necessary to fill the major and minor league roster (after preseason cuts and trades). Roster changes can be made throughout the season on both the major and minor league roster until the final day of the season. The available team has a handful of building blocks including Mookie Betts, Carlos Correa, Manny Machado, and Max Scherzer. 6. Thanks. I normally prefer, younger players, and offense in a keeper/dynasty setting. Was just offered Kershaw for Rendon too. Guess he didn't check our message board that I already made the Kluber trade. Think I'd have went with Kluber over Kershaw, but going to leave me wondering. Still regretting a few moves I made (taking Maitan over Acuna in 2017 and trading Scherzer instead of Sabathia to start 2015) that would have put my team over the top right now.
  7. Have him in a keeper league where we keep 8 (or 96 guys) + graduates of our minor league roster. He's my 8th keeper right now. So yes, he's top 100 for me in a long term league.
  8. I just traded Anthony Rendon for Corey Kluber. In a vacuum would you rather have Kluber or Rendon? I feel Rendon, but are you okay with Kluber if team need dictates*? *I have Machado and Bregman to split SS/3B as starters and Javier Baez (starter at 2nd) Wil Myers and Rafael Devers with 3B eligibility
  9. I shoudl also note that this is 5x5 roto on yahoo and this is the 17th year of the league
  10. Note to be successful in this league you will need to know your minor league players. 2019 draft will include any unowned major league players and 2019 june draft picks and international signing
  11. Looking for a new team owner for a $50 30-man dynasty, 15 man minor league Send me a message at nickrieder@hotmail.com if interested. The minor league team is bottom 15 and major league roster is the top with positions listed.
  12. I can continue to make change to my dynasty roster through tomorrow afternoon. I feel as if I have have four fluid roster spots to add/drop my current guys as I prepare for next season. We have 12 teams of 35 players + 5 DL and 15 man minor league rosters. So there's 600+ players rostered. I'm currently leaning to going with the top four for my roster as I enter the off-season. I only will have one catcher though if I do that in Contreras, and part of me doesn't want to give up on Alfaro after picking him up 5 or 6 years ago. So tempted to hang on to him. I think Williams is a must add. Can't decide between Peralta/Smith as possible closers to start next season so was going to keep both and Rich Hill slightly wins out over Chase, Harvey, Duffy. Age with the SP I don't feel matter as I don't expect any of those guys to significantly get better. · Trevor Williams · Rich Hill · Wily Peralta · Will Smith · ----- · Jorge Alfaro · Chase Anderson · Matt Harvey · Danny Duffy · Keone Kela · Blake Parker · Ty Buttrey · Kyle Seager (I'm rostering Moustakas, Devers, Shaw) Any thought on what may be the most valuable guys for 2019?

  14. With AJ Puk undergoing TJ surgery shortly, would you keep him in a dynasty league? I have a 15 man minor league roster and would like to move Dominic Smith back to my minor league roster to open up a position to stream SP. To do so, I'd need to make a cut. Was thinking about cutting AJ Puk. Thoughts?
