Lot of good options there......D'Qwell, Hill, Cooper, Barnett should be good.

If it were me, I'd probably go with D'Qwell, as he's probably the "safe" pick as the most consistent performer, but I really like Cooper's matchup. I'm going with Hill myself as an sub for Fletcher this week. I'd be more high on Lofa if he weren't so dogged by the head woes.

I'll rank them:

D'Qwell - probably best choice, more of a tackler than big play provider, though

Cooper - solid matchup and generally a solid earner

Hill - has been solid last few weeks, but no big play points (have I used the word "solid" enough yet?)

Brigg/Barnett - facing running teams, so opportunity will be there, but will they take advantage?

Hope that helps

I'd probably go with either D'Qwell or Briggs.

Collins. Gamble and Revis look good too.

Thanks.

Seymour - Edwards has been taking his share of sacks lately.

Suggs - close call. A great blitzing team like the Eagles couldn't sack Senenca until the fourth quarter. Tends to shovel or flick the ball instead of taking the sack (though that could obv. equal an INT for someone else)

Finnegan and Gamble - Grossman and Russell are the opposing QBs. They turn it over.

rivercraps - I'd go with Poz....I have little to no faith in Ryans right now, but that being said, neither are too likely to help you cash in on those big play points, because they're primarily tacklers.

deeville - I'd go with Gaither or Abraham, given the extra nudge you get from tackles, I'd lean toward Omar, since he gets his tackles and has chipped in a couple sacks and a few PD's.

Rotohuff - off the top of my head, I'd go: Ellis, Suggs, Finnegan, Harper

reddog - also off the top of my head, I'm a Morrison fan, so I'd lean toward him....Farrior's nice though, and Tuck is hard to ignore

I gotta bolt for now fellas....

No Fumble points?

Since your glamour stats are only a 2-1 ratio on Tackles, take the Tackle Hoss Posluszny vs. NE.

I like Farrior again this week.

TENN is an erratic LB opponent. Rather have the MLB vs. them. Briggs had a great game last week but he's been a little erratic too. I'd feel better about Briggs if your format scored asst. tackles.

My columns dripped with "solid"s.

Besides being a normally great modifier for an athlete it's just flat out perfect for NFL Defensive Players.

What about Fumble's Forced and PD, for both LB/DB?

Still leaning Posluszny.

I've got Barrett Ruud, Dhani Jones, & DeMarcus Ware all on byes this week & I need to find some replacements. To complicate matters, Jared Allen looks like he is going to be out this week and quite possibly longer.

I need to pick up two players: one LB and the other can be a LB or DB.

Here are the players available for pick up in my league:

Lofa Tatupu

Omar Gaither (Still on waivers but i'm hoping he clears)

John Abraham

Kawika Mitchell

Kevin Williams

Julius Peppers

Clint Session

Michael Lewis

Antrel Rolle

Charles Woodson

Jabari Greer

Dwight Lowery

Tackle Solo (1), Tackle Assist (.5), Sack (2.5), Interception (2.5), Fumble Force (1.5), Fumble Recovery (1), Pass Defended (1)

Which two players should i pick up & which two players should i drop? My roster is in my signature. This is for my first team (14 Team league)

Thanks

Damn.

Two are very, very close:

Collins and Griffin.

Both could lose their points to their teammates opposite- Bigby and Winfield- but have playable figures anyway.

Griffin is the more reliable option. He's a sure tackling CB in a Cover 2 playing against a team that run plays conducive to our purposes.

A real freelancer/livewire Collins makes plays and is a deft tackler himself.

The surer points go to Griffin- I give him a base of 7 ST- and Collins actually has more upside (despite having 50% less tackles than Griffin) and TO capability.

From there it's your call.

I'd love to go Rhodes, but STL is a very unreliable foe.

d.ryans or p.posluszny? Thanks for the insight

1 pt tackle

8 pt sack

6 pt force fumble

5 pt fumble rec

Posluszny.

The matchups are quite similar. And maybe now that Diles is gone Ryans will pull himself off the mat.

But I can't bet on that.

I think it works for you.....especially if Lofa can get over the groin issue and play like the Lofa we all know and love the rest of the way.

The big play points favor the Cromartie side, but only the 2007 Cromartie. The 2008 version has problems of its own.

Can't play any DE against NO with authority. So the league's #2 alcoholic* is out.

I like interior members of the Front 7 over outside vs. NYG.

Pierce's matchup isn't great. And Pierce hasn't been great.

Spikes, well again the matchup isn't there.

So what do we do when there is no clear-cut tilt? Take the player who has been the most consistent:

Gaither.

He probably has the best matchup too, if you cock your head and look sideways...and stare at it long enough.

*Leonard Little is #1.
