Dynasty League Rookie Rankings

Recommended Posts

I'm in a second-year, 16-team dynasty league about to begin our first three-round rookie draft. Right now, I'm still not entirely sure where I'll be drafting, but here's a rough draft of my first-round rankings:

1. Adrian Peterson (Min - RB)

2. Calvin Johnson (Det - WR)

3. Marshawn Lynch (Buf - RB)

4. JaMarcus Russell (Oak - QB)

5. Brady Quinn (Cle - QB)

6. Brandon Jackson (GB - RB)

7. Chris Henry (Ten - RB)

8. Anthony Gonzalez (Ind - WR)

9. Ted Ginn Jr. (Mia - WR)

10. Michael Bush (Oak - RB)

11. John Beck (Mia - QB)

12. Dwayne Jarrett (Car - WR)

13. Dwayne Bowe (KC - WR)

14. Craig Davis (SD - WR)

15. Greg Olsen (Chi - TE)

16. Zach Miller (Oak - TE)

We have a fairly deep bench (9 positions to fill, 18 total roster spots), and there aren't many productive players left sitting on free agents with 16 teams, so I'll definitely have room to wait on someone for a year or two. The league uses a standard scoring system, but also rewards one point per reception. What do you guys think? Am I overlooking someone completely, or possibly overvaluing someone? Also, what do you guys think I might look out for in the later rounds? Any sleepers who may be surprisingly solid fantasy contributors to look out for in the second and third rounds?

All in all, I'd say your list looks pretty good - maybe lynch before johnson, and maybe move bowe up a little, but that is just nitpicking and personal opinion.

From what I've read Mike Walker is going to be a nice surprise, the WR out of JAX.

They are high on him as you can see.

It looks pretty good. There are a few things I would change because of my personal opinions, but you have pretty much every player within a couple spots of where I would put them.

I would move Henry behind Gonzalez and Ginn though. With the Titans resigning Brown, and already having White in place, his carries both this year and in the near future are questionable.
