Tralier for the new Chris Nolan flick

Normally I'm not one to post about movies but this has all the ingredients to be a huge success. It's got a great ensemble cast (although the chick from Juno looks out of place) and Nolan is peaking right now. Although after watching the trailer I'm still sort of confused as to what this movie is actually about.

I'm really looking forward to this one, since Christopher Nolan is one of my favorite film makers. All of his feature films have impressed me greatly, so I have faith that Inception will not disappoint. It certainly looks like a mind bender!

this movie looks like it will be pretty damn good

I cannot wait! Nolan hasn't made a ton of films, but I'm a big fan of them all so far. I have high hopes for this.

Ya I can't really get a feel for what it's about either lol. I did notice that Tom Hardy is in it. He was amazing in Bronson.

From what I've gathered so far, I think DiCaprio is a "corporate thief." The twist is he can enter one's dreams to steal those corporate secrets. At least, that's what I think the basic premise is. There's a lot of secrecy about the plot.

The new trailer looks AMAZING!

http://www.traileraddict.com/trailer/incep...atrical-trailer

"Dom Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio) is a skilled thief, the absolute best in the dangerous art of extraction, stealing valuable secrets from deep within the subconscious during the dream state, when the mind is at its most vulnerable. Cobb's rare ability has made him a coveted player in this treacherous new world of corporate espionage, but it has also made him an international fugitive and cost him everything he has ever loved. Now Cobb is being offered a chance at redemption. One last job could give him his life back but only if he can accomplish the impossible—inception. Instead of the perfect heist, Cobb and his team of specialists have to pull off the reverse: their task is not to steal an idea but to plant one. If they succeed, it could be the perfect crime. But no amount of careful planning or expertise can prepare the team for the dangerous enemy that seems to predict their every move. An enemy that only Cobb could have seen coming. This summer, your mind is the scene of the crime."

And I thought the 1st trailer was good...damn

Btw, I think Joseph Gordon Levitt is the new DiCaprio. He's got the same boyish look to him even though he's pushing thirty and has done a great job in everything I've seen him in. Hopefully this film is a springboard for him to get leading roles in bigger, more ambitious films.

I saw Inception last night. Wow! Christopher Nolan never disappoints. The story was rich on many levels & executed masterfully. My opinion on what the ending means isn't set in stone, it's kind of shifting w/ my mood at the moment. It's best for me not to discuss details yet, so as not to spoil the experience for anyone else.

Awesome movie...without going into too many specifics I'll just leave you with this...

In an age where movie plots are recycled over and over, this movie is certainly something very different and innovative...

Fantastic. It's up there with Gattaca as my favourite sci-fi movie ever.

Contrary to popular opinion, i don't think it was difficult to 'get' at all - the story was quite simple and easy to grasp. And without divulging anything as a spoiler, i'd say it was also quite predictable, since you knew exactly what was going to happen, but what made it thrilling was how they would go about doing it. But it will definitely keep your attention from start to finish.

Great usage of CGI as well.

Go watch it, if you haven't already.

Inception was probably the best written movie I have EVER seen in terms of creativity, complexity, and well roundedness. I'm thoroughly convinced Christopher Nolan is a certified genius. Given that, this movie is not perfect, but it will go down as one of the all time best nonetheless.

No question. Pure craziness. I'm still warped.

Saw it today and I very much agree that the framework of the story is fairly simplistic. The process of it unfolding is where it gets wonderfully intricate and impressively cerebral. Truly, Nolan is at his apex as a story teller. He's simply the best in the business at this very moment. Not the most acclaimed, or certainly the best director. He's telling interesting stories using common themes and archetypes, but in a new and unconventional way and he's unrivaled today. Truly a great and thought provoking movie. The theme of dream vs. reality (I'll stop there) has been explored in written and cinematic ventures, but this movie really makes it come together as a suspense and crime drama and is visually stunning as well.

There are certainly a few minor plot holes and I wasn't really a huge on the Ellen Page or JG-L (although a big fan) casting, but those are minor quibbles as everyone else is spot on. Cillian Murphy is solid, Watanabe is simply fantastic as usual, but Tom Hardy has to be the big winner here, raising his profile from the crazy "Bronson". Just a great puzzle of a film. Should be up for many an award.....Really goes back to his "Memento" days of uniqueness....

Liked Gattaca as well. Cool flick. Anyone see "Sunshine"? Another Sci-Fi flick (has Murphy in it)? I really enjoyed that if we're talking about under appreciated SF fare....
