Arsenal might end up singing Jagielka or Lescott in the upcoming weeks.

For those of us that play Fantasy Premier League, these two guys will be big time bargains if they sign for Arsenal. Jags is going for 5.5 !! and Lescott 6.5. Great value.

Everton boss David Moyes is openly acknowledging what MLS has already said - don' expect to see Landon in England any time soon: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/t...ton/8875645.stm

"We'd love to have Landon [back] but he looks too expensive for us.

"We don't have the finances. The price that Major League Soccer wants for him is very big and it's an additional problem because of his age."

Some rumors.....

Man City will present a £50 million bid to Liverpool this week for Fernando Torres.

Man United may be given an opportunity to buy back Villareal striker Giuseppe Rossi.

Mesut Ozil will play out the final year of his contract with Werder Bremen, and hit the open market next summer.

Robinho's agent is in talks with Inter Milan to finally liberate the Brazilian from Man City, who are apparently willing to let Emmanuel Adebayor leave town as well. Juventus and AC Milan are supposed to be interested.

Chelsea appear to be on the verge of signing Benfica winger Ramires in a move that will cost them a £17 million transfer fee.

Celtic is waiting to hear if winger Aiden McGeady will accept a move to Spartak Moscow, which would net the Scottish side a £9.5 million fee.

Rumor.....

Instead of paying transfer fees, Tottenham will bolster the squad through loan deals, and are checking out Man City's Craig Bellamy and AC Milan's Klaas-Jan Huntelaar. It's thought that Huntelaar could be obtained in a straight-up deal that would send Giovani dos Santos to Italy.

Man United is going to get more active in bringing over Real Madrid midfielder Lassana Diarra, and are holding out hope that Mesut Ozil will welcome a transfer move.

Shay Given wants out of Man City after not only sitting in favor of Joe Hart for the EPL opener, but for today's Champions League match. Arsenal and Fulham have been mentioned as possible destinations, and a move could come if Fulham finally let Mark Schwarzer go to Arsenal. The latest is that the Gunners would give up Carlos Vela and cash to make it happen.

If Ahsan Ali Syed's bid to take over Blackburn is successful, expect to see Rovers approach MLS about a move for David Beckham.

Manchester United are going to make a move on Deportivo La Coruna winger Andres Guardado.

On other thing (not transfer-related)......"vuvuzela" is going to appear in the next Oxford Dictionary.

Some moves are getting done with the window closing next week......

Liverpool is going to wind up getting £17.25 million from Barcelona for Javier Mascherano, who still needs to pass a physical. As it turns out the previous bid was for only £16 million, so the Reds at least got a little closer to making the money back that they originally gave West Ham for him.

Birmingham and Wigan have agreed to an undisclosed fee for midfielder Charles N'Zogbia. The two sides had quarreled over numbers up to this point, but Wigan is saying that the Blues are paying their price.

West Ham have arranged a season-long loan deal with Inter Milan for striker Victor Obinna. If the Hammers can clear up their financial woes by next spring, they'll have the option of making the move permanent.

Tottenham is interested in obtaining Sevilla striker Luis Fabiano, but Spurs are calling the Spanish side's demands "crazy".
