Thoughts.....Also, im curious to see if there is a community for Golf on this forum. I think he makes a run at the Master's, but at this point, I cant say he wins....But he has to win eventually right?

He's still got the skill set of a person that is able to be the best golfer in the world, but the mental aspect of the game is in my opinion where he's no longer what he once was. There was a time when Tiger was unbeatable in the clutch. If he was in the hunt, he was in the head of most guys. He's not anymore. Guys are more afraid of Phil, Kaymer, Westwood, McIlroy, and others. When the Euros said they wanted him in the Ryder Cup that told me all I needed to know. They not only thought he was rusty, but weren't in the least bit worried about rattling the cage and awakening the old Tiger.

I wouldn't be surprised if he wins a tournament this year, but I don't expect the dominant Tiger to come back suddenly. It's going to take a gradual rebuild of his confidence and others fears. As a long-time Mickelson (AKA anti-Tiger) fan, Tiger can wait a good while as far as I'm concerned for that to happen. Realistically, I do expect that it will at some point. You don't go from top of the world in your prime to middle of the road and not have it in you to get back to top of the world. Funny thing is, Mickelson has been through a lot more in his life the past couple years than Woods as far as "real life" and has responded with a Masters win. Problem is with Phil it just played into his persona where as with Tiger his was damaging to his infallibility. He's not as good as a "human", much scarier as the robot with the big fist pump.

It looks like it's going to be a while with the way he's currently playing.

When he gets back to sleeping with porn stars and cheating on his wife (obviously he doesn't have a wife now but he will remarry)

As soon as he gets his swing together and gets new caddie. He missed the cut by miles yesterday and quite frankly was amateur. Thats the worst I have seen him play. I can't really criticise much he has only ever missed 3 cuts in the majors up to this point. Maybe next year he will burst onto the scene again in a positive fashion only time will tell.

the answer is not anytime soon. Tiger sucks now.

Didn't he finish third last week against a pretty solid field in the Australian Open? He's not that far off, he'll probably win a few tourneys next year assuming he gets back to a regular schedule. Woods has barely played in tournaments the last two seasons. Most guys, without his superhuman talent, wouldn't be able to even make cuts if they played as little tournament golf as Tiger has the past few years.

I don't know about a few, but if he plays a full season next year he will win. He is not in competitive form right now and Fred Couples probably should have taken Keegan Bradley over him for the President's Cup, but you don't lose what Woods had. When he gets back to playing full-time he will win.

We've been hearing this for years now. He basically is playing full-time now and he still sucks. He lost a lot.

He lost that killer instinct, he lost his "invincibility". People aren't afraid of Tiger's Wood anymore.

He hasn't played more than 17 PGA events in a year in the last 5 years. This year he played 9 events and didn't even play all of the majors or the FedEx cup. The year he played 17 events was 2009 and he won the FedEx cup. Following that season he had the crazed events that led to his divorce. His health and personal issues have led to his loss of the invincible tag. I'm a Phil Mickelson fan so I really wouldn't be pained to never see Tiger get back to the dominance he once had. That said, as a golf fan I can't say that a guy that good and at a prime age for quality golf is done. I've been watching the President's Cup and while he hasn't been making putts, he is striking the ball well and has certainly not been a stand-out bad player at an event with elite players (outside of the first match where he and Stricker both stunk). He's hit a ton of "Tiger-like" shots, but isn't making the putts. He used to not only make those putts, but drop some long ones too. That will come with regular play. Even some of the swagger is coming back. You can tell he is on the verge of being back to prominence, even if that prominence is unlikely to ever be as amazing as it was 5+ years ago. He used to be THE guy. He can still be one of the top guys and all the top guys win tournaments.

seriously? the "Chevron Challenge"

I remember when this guy used to win majors. Now all the Tiger groupies get happy when the man wins an 18 person small tournament. Keep lulling yourselves into believing that Tiger is back to old form.

Yes downplay his first win in 2 years. No big deal. Tiger should feel good and he is turning things around, the dude has gotta start somewhere.

Can he hold the lead tomorrow? He was on fire today but could never knock in birdies and if he did he'd fudge up the next hole. Luckily for him McDowell was doing the exact same thing all day.

4 Shot lead going into the back 9!

It was only a matter of time. His stats (total driving, greens is reg.) have been off the charts this season. He looks like he's getting fairly close to where he was in his prime to be honest. He's starting to make every putt inside of ten feet, which was one of his trademarks. I'm expecting him to be in contention nearly every time he plays the rest of the year, he's looking very comfortable with his swing changes.

It's good to see, because throughout his personal turmoil, I feel like a lot of people suddenly forgot about what a boss this guy is on the course and weren't giving him enough respect. Dude is a legend, and it's great to see him start to prove some of the naysayers wrong.

His driving is what has been keeping him competitive lately.

Once he gets the putting back to old form, look out.

One of the best shots ever on the 16th. Really couldn't believe he made that.

He's beasting now. Safe to say he's close to where he once was? I don't know if he could ever be like that again but he seems damn close.

He is well on his way, 3 wins in 11 starts this year. Putting/Short game is coming around its only a matter of time before he dominates the game again. Maybe he wont dominate to the extent he once did but he is going to win a lot of golf tournaments moving forward and I full expect him to win one of the final 2 majors.
