16 team mixed league needs one owner

Recommended Posts

I run well established sixteen team nonkeeper

mixed league and I just had an owner withdraw. It uses a serpentine draft

rather than an auction. The stakes are $60 with an option to

increase the stakes to $100 which about half the teams choose, plus a small

fee for a stats

service. If you are interested contact me at blumenidiot@yahoo.com to get more information..

The draft will be April 7.

Here are the rules:

HASHED BROWN POTATO LEAGUES RULES 2007

There are sixteen teams in each league that will consist of 23 players per

team. The roster will include:

5 outfielders

2 catchers

1 first baseman

1 second baseman

1 shortstop

1 third baseman

1 middle infielder (shortstop or second base)

1 corner players (first base or third)

1 utility hitters(any batter)

9 pitchers consisting of 5 starters and 4 relievers.

The draft order shall be established by lot using a a switchback. Every player drafted must

meet the positional qualifications of having

played at least 20 games at a position in the majors last year. If he

played less, the position played most will apply. If he did not play in the majors last

year, he will be listed under the one he played most in the minors. As the season progresses, a

player will qualify at any position he has played at least once. Pitchers are primarily ranked by

what role they served last year but attention is paid to possible changes planned for this season.

There will be no distinction between starters and relievers after the initial draft.

Teams shall be ranked from first to last in every category with the

highest team receiving sixteen points, second fifteen, down to last

which will receive one point. In case of ties, points will be shared. If two or

more teams are tied for first at the end of the season, the tiebreaker will be a head to head

comparison. I there is a still a tie there will be no further tiebreaker. Tied

teams will share the total money available.

the categories to determine the winning team are:

Total homeruns

Total RBI's

Total runs

Total steals

Composite team batting average

Total pitchers' wins

Total saves

Total pitchers' strike outs

Composite ERA

Composite Ratio (walks + hits allowed/innings pitched)

A team with less than 1000 innings pitched will receive zeroes for ERA

and Ratio. A team with less than 5500 at bats will receive zero in batting

average. A team with more than 200 total pitchers' starts will receive a

zero for strikeouts.

An owner may replace any player but shall lose all rights to that

player. From April 13 , a team may also have up to 4 reserve players on the

roster at any one time. A player cannot be reserved until he has been on

an active roster for at least a week. A player's stats do not count when he is on

reserved. In order to activate a reserve player, an active player must be either dropped or

reserved.

Beginning April 13 every Wednesday there will be a replacement draft of free agents

conducted in rounds. It will be a snake draft with first round being teams picking in inverse order

to standings. Teams may draft any player not on another's roster. . Players desired do not have

to be sorted into position but should be ranked in order of preference. Players to be dropped or

reserved should also be ranked. Players being drafted will determine order. To ensure getting a

replacement(s) an owner should be sure to give enough alternates.. An owner should

state indicate that a player moved is already on reserve. When drafting, trading or putting a

player on reserve, an owner must retain an active player eligible for each of the original 23

positions.

Trading will be allowed until August 4. To be deemed official a trade must be reported to me by

both owners. A trade becomes effective the day after it's official. If a player must be dropped,

reserved or activated to satisfy the positional requirements, a team shall be allowed to do so. If

there seems to be a clear effort to get around the spirit of the game, I'll poll at least 3 unaffected owners or former owners for a decision.

There may be errors in omission or commission in entering transactions. Each team is ultimately

responsible for its roster and movements. If you see an error please notify me.

Entry will be $67.50 - $60. stake - $7.50 for expenses for each team.. First will

receive 40% second 22% third 15%, fourth 10%, fifth receives 8 % and sixth 5%.

The pot for those wishing to increase the stakes by $40 per team. to $100. That will go into an additional, separate pool. Which will award 50%, 30% and 20% of its total..
