Cole Beasley 2012 Season Outlook

15 posts in this topic

Any info on this guy, he seems to be getting plenty of work this game. I know he went to SMU and they usually produce some speedy game breaker types. I was just wondering what this guys outlook looks like.

Very poor man's Amendola perhaps.

Putting it generously--I'd look elsewhere if you can--but Dallas does have some decent secondary matchups in the upcoming weeks, so if you are reaching for someone he might be worth the pickup.

is it because he is white and short?

Yeah. Not nearly as handsome, though.

Racist

I kid. He's a decent slot guy but I don't think he holds any value in standard. PPR big leagues, yes definitely.

if you honestly think that cole beasley could start for your FFL team it's time to start preparing for next year's draft

If you honestly believe that it's impossible, then you should start preparing for next years draft.

Picking near last in my waiver, I'm looking at this guy as my Amendola insurance... If Miles Austin misses time he would become the slot guy for a team that passes a lot and he might see constant 1 on 1s as probably the least feared receiver on the team. Beasley is a PPR guy, stay away in standard formats.

They're talking about shutting down Miles. Beasley has been putting up decent numbers in the slot. What's this guy capable of?

His statline the past 3 weeks are what I'd expect going forward.

4-5 rec., 50 yards

For right now, I'd say he's only worth a look in deep PPR leagues because there's so many mouths to feed in Big D. But he's starting to be Tony's go to guy on 3rd downs.

This guy is a Wes Welker clone. Cowboys offense is top 5. He plays on all 3 wide sets as their # 1 slot guy. I love him going forward..He is a TD away from people talking him up as the next big thing.

Bahaha, 2012 thread. Nice work.

But in all seriousness, Im gonna snag this guy and probably start him for bye-week guys like Keenan Allen and TY Hilton

My thoughts exactly and now I kind of wish I didn't bump this thread up so he stays under the radar but I have to assume no one is really looking at this guy (I hope). I think he's a very sneaky add.
