Carlos Delfino 2012-2013 Season Outlook

Resurrected this thread. Couldn't find one on this cat. It looks like he was getting some run. before the bout with food poisoning. He is one of the streakiest ballers that I know. He may get on one of those runs that may warrant pick up.

im streaming delfino and pat-pat this week in a league where i own harden/parsons. I see Delfino as a temporary play in h2h, maybe longer play in roto if you need 3s

Even with an off game tonight, it seems like Delfino is really solidifying a role in Houston.

I'd take Delfino out of that group but we're going to get yelled at if we keep talking like this in the main forum.

Rockets forward Carlos Delfino was forced out of Saturday's contest against the Bobcats due to a strained right elbow. Delfino sustained the injury in the second quarter and was unable to return to the game. He missed both of his shot attempts and was held scoreless with a rebound an assist while logging seven minutes of game action before getting hurt.

Think he's gonna miss games? Gonna drop for Jimmy.

I am wondering the same. Was the injury visible on TV and did it look severe?

right elbow is pretty critical for one's shooting touch ... doesn't seem to be any news on this ... do the rockets not have any beat reporters....

Is Delfino worth holding onto if the injury is not long-term?

He's ranked about 87 for the year, 10 points better in the last month

he's crucial to my 3-point shooting team, but I'm in a critical matchup this week and I'm already gonna be having 5 less players going than my opponent.

If I drop him to stream someone that plays 3 more games this week, it would help but would someone end up snatching Delfino if it's not a serious injury? And too bad the other 3-point specialist available Martell Webster would not fit my matchup scheduling this week, so I'd have to pick up someone like Patterson, Toney Douglas, or Harrison Barnes.

i was in a situation like yours but had to cut him for the time being. I was fortunate enough to get nate robinson as my stream this week.

I would monitor Delfino closely to see when he returns. He provides elite 3's and is a nice late-rounder to have on your squad.

Aw man, don't pick up Toney Douglas.

I don't like him long-term but he should be able to do in 30-35 minutes what delfino does in 25, especially if Lin is out too.

The latest RW blurb has me really worried...

The fact he has been dealing with that elbow for a month prior to the latest injury, then they say he is trying to "avoid surgery"....I don't know. Dude was getting me over the top in 3ptm so I'm hesitant to drop, but I have a feeling he won't be worth a roster spot again this year.

Next hot FA I may be moving on. Damn hard to find elite 3ptm and steals of the wire though...

Toney Douglas WILL NOT be playing 30-35 minutes...not even close to that actually! Where'd you get that number from?

He just played 8 minutes in the first half, with Delfino out. 15-20 minutes is more like it.

Are people holding? It's hard to find a replacement for his production in deeper leagues.

I'm this close to dropping

There's not enough info to make a decision on him yet if you're in a deep league.

His type of production is simply not available on the wire. I'm not ready to stash him for a month but if it's only going to be a couple more games, I can handle holding onto him.

I agree, 14 team leagues shouldn't of dropped him. You cant find 2.5 3's a game on the wire even in 12 team leagues. Latest news just now

Jonathan Feigen@Jonathan_Feigen

Carlos Delfino went through shootaround, could return tonight.
