Robert Griffin III 2013 Season Outlook

First overall pick, hands down

His surplus of skill position talent, brilliant coaching, and superhuman-esque durabilty make him a great fantasy option going forward

or the exact opposite of that

He won't be on any of my teams; the price tag will be way too high. I think the guy goes on to have a great career, but the injury risk and sophomore slump potential will scare me away.

Plus the possibility of Shanahanigans!

Opportunity for value if he misses extended time with an ACL, especially in keeper leagues. Can't imagine that anyone who has him now is holding onto him.

I'd think if you have him in a keeper you'd definitely hold onto him. You've got him at a good price. If his knee is blown you just hold onto him until 2014 and see what happens. I'd be looking to buy him in keepers.

He was bad/mediocre in half of his games this year and is not built to take the shots he does.

His numbers the last month of the year were mediocre at best.

No thanks.

Well considering he was playing injured that *might* explain his mediocre end of season....

I do agree he needs to alter his style not to take the big hits.

#fingers crossed on MRI

I agree his price will be too high next season.

However, he's like a version of Vick who can pass accurately, that's big upside. If WAS lands a big name FA wideout this offseason I'd be very tempted.

I won't be touching him because I assume he will be a top two round pick, maybe top three. If he falls to the fourth round maybe I will take a chance just because when he is healthy he is very valuable, but I could see a similar situation next year to this year. He could only play 14 games and be limited/injured in another four

RGIII is a second-rounder at worst, assuming his MRI comes back clean. Easy first-rounder in friends-and-family leagues.

If he makes it to the 3rd in any league I'm in I will break my wrist I'll be clicking on that draft button so fast. I don't think he'll be falling that far though. Vick was a 1st round pick last year and even a 3-4th round in many leagues this year, no way RG3 makes it past round 2 next season.

I own him in one 12 team keeper league where we keep three and right now I am pretty sure he will not be one of the three I keep....that could change from now to next year, but for right now just don't see how he can be...

Maybe you really do need to be built like Cam Newton to have any hope for longevity as a running QB.

I'm probably not keeping him either and the writing on the wall sure is a buzzkill.

I think its highly unlikely he falls that far too, but I guess it depends on the league and the people you are drafting with. I know in one of my hometown leagues there is a 0 percent chance he will make it to the end of the second, but good point about Vick.

I wouldn't blame you guys in that situation. If you have 3 top tier RB and/or WR it would make the most sense to keep them. The only QBs I would keep would be Brees, Rodgers and Brady.

learn to slide, run out of bounds more often, and less option plays

then I will consider taking him in the 1st round.....then again, I never draft QB's in the 1st or 2nd round :-)

RG3 has more chances than other QB's to have more injuries next year, and his running ability is what makes him a QB1 worth taking earlier. I didn't regret avoiding Cam last year, so my gut just tells me not to pay for RG3. though I'd love to own him next year, I'm not gonna pay for him.

And I don't see less option plays happening in this offense, that play has been money for them all season when RG3 was 100%. The massive steal in the 6th round that is Alfred Morris has just has much to do with the success that the skins got this year.

if he changes his playing style, he loses that ridiculous fantasy upside.

if he doesn't change his playing style, he might not last his rookie contract.

Cam Newton has a rare blend of size/speed/power for a QB. RG3 plays like a crash test dummy.

Despite the rotoworld blurb ... RGIII definitely did damage to other ligaments. Possibly an ACL tear and maybe even worse ... ACL/PCL.
