I was gonna ask if it was a Single or Double Catcher league, but the realized it doesn't matter, Goldy is a lock, he's better than Hosmer straight up. Hosmer vs Perez is the real question, but would stick with Hosmer, can replace Perez in the draft easier.

Goldie steals bases and hits in a hitter-centric park. His numbers towards the end of the season were lights out if I recall correctly. Have to agree with the above poster. Hosmer and Perez is where the decision needs to be made.

I'd probably go with Goldie and also keep Hosmer. Unless you have Posey or Mauer, most of the others are replaceable.

Thanks guys, you're right the question is Hosmer or Salvy? But I still believe Hosmer is going to bounceback in a huge way this year.

I'm going Hosmer/Goldy.

Thanks!

I agree with keeping both and dropping a pitcher. I'm in a 12 team, 12 keeper (two more than you keep) league and went through not just my roster but the other owners as well. The list of definite and/or probably (on the bubble) pitcher drops in that league was amazing. The number of 1B and C drops, not so much.

In other words, do NOT forget your othe owners when you decide on keepers and always play like you are each one of them and look over each of their rosters and see who they will most likely have to drop. They will probably be hanging on to their sluggers and maybe one or two aces max. I'm only keeping Verlander and King Felix because I need to protect my hitters foremost. I'll be dropping six pitchers which I wish I could keep but can't. But it will be the same with the other owners. I have no doubt I'll end up with just as strong or even a stronger rotation as I did from my current roster after the re-draft.

So It's not even close for me. I'd drop a pitcher. If not Halliday then another. I don't see how you wouldn't get a Mat Latos back if you target him for re-draft high enough then keep Halliday for trade value. Because you can re-draft them or get a better one probably pretty easily but not Goldschmidt for sure and probably not Perez.

Thanks guys, this thread is pretty much moot now, you've all convinced me on Goldy. I was not appreciating what I had with him, raw power and he's still very young.
