I think TCQ could have sneaky value in OBP leagues.

I got him down for .350/25/85 RBI/75 R, which actually puts him in the same boat as rios, pence, Nelson Cruz, and Desmond Jennings.

Of course, he are his games played the last 5 seasons (Starting from most recent):

86,118,131,99,130

The numbers I projected are assuming he can even make 130 games. Im not what his ADP but he should cheap. I likey.

He might hit .350....if you add 2 seasons together.

Also, English translation please?

Pretty sure .350 was the projected OBP

Actually, I bet he meant .250 AVG.

He's talking .350 OBP because he mentioned Quentin having value in OBP leagues...

.350 is OBP. Sorry for the grammatical issues. I have an old smart phone that can't quite get its GED.

I truly think that if Quentin stays healthy for an entire year (Doubtful based on his track record) he would finish as one of the best hitters in baseball.

His career .364 wOBA puts him on the same level as Matt Kemp offensively.

He also didn't seemed to be phased by the switch from maybe the most hitter-friendly park (CHW) to the least hitter-friendly (SD) as his ISO indicates (Last 3 years in Chicago: .219, .236 and .245. In San Diego: .243.) The guy hits bombs

He also posted the lowest K% of his career last season (12.1%) and his second-best walk rate ever (10.6 BB%)

If he ever plays 140+ games I really feel like he could finish as a top 10 OF. He just needs to stay on the field

5 years of being unable to play a full season. What more proof of his fragility do you need? I believe in his abilities as a hitter, but if you draft this guy as anything but an alternative flier then you are ignoring his oftrepeated history.

I'm all aboard his wagon. If/when he gets hurt I'll hope one of my backups steps up and/or a ww gem will emerge. Aside from that? Enjoy the numbers when he's healthy and hope he's okay once your playoffs start.

The only thing holding him back imo from flirting with being a top 10 outfielder is injury. I'll take the top 10 numbers when he's healthy and if he avoids injury it's a monster bargain.

He would be the best tackler for the Chargers

Third time Greinke plunks him in his career, then Greinke starts running his mouth... don't blame Quentin one bit for charging the mound. It's not like Quentin does this every time he gets hit.

Yeah, apparently it was just the 1st "charge" after 116 HBP

Well let's see if he can charge next time when he eats one that gets away in the mouth.

He gets hit all the time because of his batting style. And look at the score and the count - use your friggin head moron, nobody is throwing at you.

He should be out as long as Grienke is out. Or double it because San Diego games are meaningless since they're sad sack and going nowhere.

How can anyone sit there and blast Quentin? The guy gets hit by more pitches than anyone in baseball. That should send a message, if you hit him just stare away, otherwise you better not be on the tracks when the train is coming through.

I could understand being pissed at quentin if he threw punches at Grineke and injured him that way or something. Quentin shouldn't have charged the mound that is obvious, but if Grienke wasn't injured no one would care. Grienke got injured because he lowered his shoulder its a freak thing.

A couple things, anyone complaining about Greinkes injury and then advocating a batter get hit in the face with a pitch loses a lot of creditiblity and any moral high ground.

Second, this is where he was lined up for the pitch that hit him, hes not anywhere near hanging over or crowding the plate and it was a fastball well inside after the previous pitch was inside

Lastly, there is ZERO precedent for the discipline people are clamoring for. MLB has a long established precedent of punishing the act, not the outcome and even in instances where players have kicked others in the head (Johnny Cueto) and resulted in much longer DL stints nothing close to whats being asked for has happened. The emotional level around this is very similar to Poseys leg injury.

Good post. The injury is just icing on the cake. He should never have been charging to start with.

Very Nicely put. People need to put their emotions aside on this one. Obviously it sucks for the Dodgers, Grienke, and their fans, but it was a freak injury.

Its not like Quentin has an established track record of being a punk. He gets hit by more pitches than anyone and generally just runs to 1st base. At this point in his long established being plunked career, I am sure he can figure out between what was accidental and what was on purpose. So I have to give him the benefit of the doubt in this situation that Greinke either hit him on purpose or said something after the fact, because he never reacts this way to being hit.

I'm guessing there was some beef between him when they were divison rivals in Chicago and KC and that is what led to this.
