Nolan Reimold 2013 Outlook

20 posts in this topic

In my opinion, this guy's value just went up due to Betemit's knee injury. I'll let other start throwing out projections and peripheral stats from fangraphs. He was off to such a great start last year. The nearest comparison of a player i can think of might be Allen Craig of a year or two ago (blocked by other players, injury prone, projections for 450 ABs are sexy, possibly on waiver wire)

Yeah I think between LF and DH he was in line for nearly a full season's AB before the Betemit injury. Now, barring injury of course, I think he definitely gets there. Definitely someone to keep an eye on (or go ahead and grab in deeper leagues).

Taking a flyer on this guy the second a spot frees up. What this guy could do with a full season's at-bats... 25 HRs, 85 RBI?

Thats probably his homer upside. Camden Yard is a great park for homers. Problem with this guy is always his health, but he's healthy now and cost you nothing. I think he can go realistically 20-10 with some upside for more. He'd be a lot better if he starts off hot and gets moved up the lineup

Def my favorite deeper mixed OF 6/7. Especially if you're looking for some power late.

I'm in a 4 OF league. But my OF is a mess. I like the power upside, with potential for increased runs/rbi if he starts hot, like you said.

Reimold just needs to stay healthy, and when he finally does for a year I promise he wont be a late round pick the year after.

Alright just going to throw this out there. In 12 team 5 OF leagues, he needs to be owned IMO.

I'm just too much a sucker for this guy every year. He always gets hurt, but the cost is minimal.

25 homers this year. BOOK IT. (if he stays healthy)

He'll be in the starting lineup as long as he stays healthy. It's hard to say what he'll do but has 20-25 HR potential.

Where is he hitting? 6th? That's a pretty good lineup too

He's stuck in the 8 hole for now. His owners should be rooting for Machado to struggle so that Reimold can potentially get bumped to the 2 spot. There's not a clear path up the lineup though.

Yeah I just saw that. Hmm. Well he's worth keeping an eye on for now.

Does the roberts injury affect his spot in the lineup?

Was roberts playing 2B everyday? Or was he DH'ing?

It won't affect him. Roberts was playing 2nd and batting 9th. Both spots will just be replaced by either Casilla or Flaherty depending on how Buck plays the matchup.

Picked him up off waivers for the double header, benching Holliday to do so. Call me crazy.

I think he could have a great week too. He showed signs of life against the Dodgers and may finally be shaking off the rust after missing almost all of last year.
