Promoted and in their bullpen for now. Could give holds in the SP. Thoughts?

must add

how do you figure? He just looks like bullpen depth to me. In my opinion rosenthal is still the 8th inning guy.

Because Rosenthal's future the rotation.

The cards view Martinez as either a starter or a shutdown closer of the future.

Huh ? I think Rosenthal has that position locked up. He's seems rock solid.

Will battle it out with Rosenthal to be the closer of the future, especially if Motte ends up undergoing surgery and misses part of next season. For now hes just a middle relief guy.

So it sounds like he will be available the night he is officially added to the Cards roster. Hopefully I can get him before anyone else does cause I need holds!

You've got this backwards. Rosenthal is the closer of the future, Martinez's future is in the rotation.

Guys guys. Maybe they can both be in the rotation, and also both be in the bullpen? Either way, they are currently both in the bullpen and I don't think they will be starters until later this season/next year.

So many young arms I don't see him being a starter anytime soon less a deal happens also I don't see him being a closer anytime soon.

Sure he will be given the chance to start next year in spring but I don't see him being anymore of an add other then a holds league.

Closer? Not this year they view Rosen as the guy in waiting if Edward fails.
