The race to .200

69 posts in this topic

Who gets there first?

BJ Upton - .148

Adam Dunn - .151

Josh Reddick - .152

Ike Davis - .172

Pedro Alvarez - .178

Madison Bumgarner - .182

Clayton Kershaw - .188

My guess is Davis, then Kershaw, then Reddick...with the others having a chance to not see it at all

I'd be surprised if Dunn gets to .200 at any point. Reddick looks really lost, his swing has gotten really long and loopy to the point he can't even catch up with fastballs. I think he may get sent down to AAA at some point. Upton needs to get on a massive hot streak to get to .200.

I'll go with Alvarez because I loathe Ike Davis as a hitter. A lot of Davis' struggles have to do with the fact he refuses to make any adjustments, while Alvarez appears like he at least tries to adjust, but just goes through periods where he flat out sucks and can't pick up breaking balls to save his life.

Will Dunn hit .200 this season? At all?

He was hitting .208 (his last day above .200) on April 7th...

I'd say Hamilton beats them all going the wrong way...

I'll take that advice and vote for Pedro. He can get streaky enough to get there before he falls back down again.

I wouldn't vote for Alvarez to hit above .200 because as hot as he can get, he can go colder than anyone on that list and look like a little league player. Dude will hit 10 homers in a month then hit 0 the next 2 months. He's dumb as a bag of rocks.
