I believe he was signed by the Bears as a UDFA, and some how is with NE now, I like his size. What's his story?

They could probably use "Marvin" at this point. Seems the biggest knock on his kid (Mark) is that he and a few others trashed a hotel room they stayed in during the combine in Indianapolis a few months ago. Dumb kid behavior if you ask me...nothing to get into a tizzy about. The interesting thing about him is that he's 6'3 and somewhere around 245 lbs. He also ran a 4.47 40. Played for Rutgers; had a great 2010 sophomore season; was 2nd in the Big East in receiving TDs (Armon Binns, of the U of Cincinnati and currently a Miami Dolphin was 1st). He fell off the map in 2011 and last season was decent, but inconsistent. Rutgers QBs weren't very good either though (newsflash). With Harrison's size, he could easily transition to the TE position for the Patriots. Maybe this is why they picked him up in May. Gronk has been a question mark all off season. Not sure I'd draft Harrison in a fantasy league, but definitely someone to watch on the waiver wire.

Mark Harrison has a far better chance of starting four games for the Patriots this year, than Lloyd Christmas ever had with landing Mary Swanson.

It's funny that this thread was started today since I've been talking about how I know a lot of people that know Aaron Hernandez but, while I have never met Hernandez, I actually have met Mark Harrison a handful of times.

He's a great athlete. Dude was a legendary dunker as a high school hoops star and still holds a ridiculous high school long jump record as a track star at Bunnell High in Stratford, CT.

A lot of people were very surprised that he went undrafted but he obviously ended up in the right spot considering he's close to home and New England is in desperate need of competent targets. As of now, I certainly can't advise anybody to draft him but he could be a name to monitor.
