Will Johnson continue his excellent June run? Will the Blue Jays tie their franchise win record? Two great storylines converging as one!

Crush Davis gets IBB'd in the first inning with two outs and RISP - can't say I blame Gibbons, although Johnson is probably fuming.

JJ in an early 2-out bases loaded situation top of the 1st.

I'd start IBBing Davis a lot more with Wieters hitting behind him, who flat out sucks as a left handed hitter.

Iffy first inning for Johnson, with the Orioles having a clear gameplan to attack his fastball (both McLouth and Machado were sitting dead-red and swung at the first pitch). It could've been a lot worse if the ball Machado hit didn't just go foul by the warning track, but luck happened to abandon him.

Johnson's curveball looks on point, though, and that's going to be necessary against a team that just kills the fastball.

yeah, like you and Harsh said, can't really fault Gibbons for avoiding Davis completely, especially with Weiters backing him from the left side. It'll be interesting to see if other teams start giving Davis the Bonds treatment as well and if Weiters or maybe Hardy on some days can cash in on that, sort of like in Cincy where anyone hitting behind Votto gets boatloads of RBI opps

JJ has definitely picked up on Baltimore being trigger-happy, as evidenced by him mixing in a lot more breaking stuff this inning. Dickerson was very lucky to put a golf swing on the curve for a slap single, but a pretty smooth inning for Johnson nonetheless.

Well, it's looking good for the Jays... This resurgence is amazing—the noose around AA's neck has been loosened quite a bit, eh?

In some senses yeah because the team success has been great lately. However, the main gripe was about the Dickey trade and Dickey still sucks. That is going to be a bad mark on his resume, but if he can get them to the playoffs this year all will be forgiven.

JJ was dynamite against the Rockies and is cruising here too. If he's 100% healthy that could be massive.
