Any ideas on what to expect from him? Seems likely to play everyday as an OF/DH.

What should we expect?

His average has always been good, Cuba and the minors. I added him in a 5 OF league just to see if he can catch some lightning in a bottle, but if he can provide average, runs and a modest amount of HR/RBI which seems possible then he can be roster worthy. He doesnt strike out a ton and walks a decent amount which should bode well.

What platform are you using? I see that he is not available in either Yahoo! or Espn....

Very interesting prospect. Can't wait to see him play, and I hope he is successful.

he gets put on waivers after he plays his first game I believe?

Either way, once he's added he'll be on waivers so no rush

I can't believe ESPN doesn't have him. First time they've let me down.

It's threads like this that show me how little I actually know. I've never heard of this guy and have no idea who he plays for, even after reading this thread.

funny they did this. who's the odd man out?

Sounds like he will be playing DH for the most part. So Reimold, Dickerson, whoever their DH at the moment is.

On the local radio here in baltimore, they were comparing him to Bernie Williams....Lot of hype going on around the city for what it's worth... I am definitely claiming him in my AL only league

So if he goes to waivers what is he worth? Anyone think he is worth the #1 waiver?

He put up decent numbers in AA, but he was 26 at the time. Plus, where is he going to get consistent playing time? I'd be happy to eat my words a month from now, but I don't know what everyone is getting so worked up about.

i believe he also hit .370 in AAA. his strikeout/walk ratio is very impressive and seems to make very good contact. it's worth the flier for sure, seeing how his fellow cubans have turned out but wouldn't break the bank.
