As long as he doesnt decide to molest anyone else strapped to a gurney, I'd think the Giants have to keep in there for the season.

Dude has been pitching out of his mind of late.

Gaudin's been a bit lucky but the uptick in K's is encouraging. Given the park and division, I like him down the stretch. On my watch list.

Man, didn't know this guy was doing this. Interesting. What's the story behind his success so far, anyone know? New pitch? Changed his delivery? etc...

None of the above...

Mysteriously wandering into hospitals and groping sick women on stretchers is his good luck ritual....been lights out since he started it.

I've wondered why he did that, considering below is a pic of his wife. He has plenty to grope at home.

You know you pronounce his name "Go-Dahn" In a french accent. There's a joke involving gonads here that I can't quite think of.

i am buying this guy at this point...same thing another poster said above, nice K's...excellent ball park, giants always play close low scoring games it seems like...probably will only use him on a double start unless emergency

u think he loses his spot immediately?

I would assume he does. Giants could use him in the pen with Affeldt going down. There is also the possibility that Zito loses his spot and Gaudin slides into his spot

i mean gaudin's numbers as a starter are pretty sick right now...hard to believe they will just boot him back to the pen....Vog could easily have a set back as well.

Guadin was a pretty valuable arm for them while he was in the pen though. So that definitely carries some weight too, as to why they wouldn't be as hesitant to move him back there.

I was always surprised Gaudin has been so mediocre throughout his career. Because his stuff is actually not that bad. I can remember watching him and he'd look dominant at times and at other times he'd miss his spots horribly. Definitely a Jekyll and Hyde pitcher.

Maybe he's finally figured it out?

But the most important thing, I think, to take away from this thread is his wife is smoking hot.

Count me in as "started" him!!! I've heard a decent # of "experts" predict that his demise was imminent but I, of course, held out hope for the kid!!! Not gonna worry about dropping his arse just yet but I am already thinking of possible replacements.....

You guys started him against Cinci. What did you expect would happen?

Usually when you pick guys up off waivers in July, its not to throw them out there every single game without even checking the matchup.

That said, hes been really good in the rotation, and I dont know that Vogelsong will automatically get his spot back. Vogey was horrible all season, and had not been as Gaudin at any point in 2013 before he got hit in the hand and went to the DL.

For everyone who dropped, rushing to add back? Dominant tonight vs. Philly.

Gets two starts next week, both at home vs. a struggling Mil team, and a scarier Bal. but being in SF certainly helps.

I didn't drop and glad I didn't, had a nice bounce back start. I'm a little worried about the matchups next week but really what it boils down to for me and probably most people here is that the WW options are so thin at this point, there really isn't anyone else to bet on.
