Tommy Streeter 2013 Season Outlook

5 posts in this topic

During the draft last year Streeter generated some buzz running a 4.4 40 at 6-foot-5 and 220 pounds. He basically redshirted as a rookie last year but with Boldin being gone, Pitta being hurt, and Jacoby Jones generally being terrible he has an oppurtunity.

I don't see any reason why not to take a late round flier on him in deeper leagues or dynasty leagues. His size/speed combo is a rare one, it really comes down to his route running and mental capacity for the game. I'd say after Torrey he's probably their most talented receiver but talent only takes you so far. Based on size I would think he would be in the game for red zone packages at the very least.

I could easily see him putting up some big big numbers in pre-season against third stringers and watching that ADP get inflated but in the end I don't think at this point he's anymore than a last round pick with some upside.

The position they need to fill is "crisp route runner". Torrey Smith is sprinting for the end zone. They need someone who can cut to the ball and always be in the right spot like Reggie Wayne, Antonio Brown, or Victor Cruz. Jacoby Jones cannot do it consistently. Bolden did it but lacked speed and seperation. Pitta was their guy. The Ravens have a big hole and they know it.

Ray Rice might be looking at the most 8 in the box snaps this year. 2 defenders on Smith. 1 on Jones. Zone coverage on Dickson.
