great idea. When you are several money leagues costing thousands it might be worth it

Yeah but how does it work? Supposed Arian Foster gets hurt, do I get another Foster and base his actual points on projections? lol

Yea I saw something like that awhile ago. Thought about posting it but then lost interest quick lol

My reactions when I first saw it was this is the dumbest thing i've ever seen but there are more than enough crazys that will buy it. Auto insurance, homeowners insurance, fantasy football insurance. Can't go wrong.

They give you Foster's depreciated value after mileage is accounted for. If you crash Foster you end up with a Vick Ballard.

How about spending a few extra hours and doing more research to fortify your bench? Ever hear of a handcuff?

If you're in a $100 league or something, and buy the fake fantasy insurance for your key player, usually your first round pick and he misses more than 8 games, they basically pay you your $100 back. I'm pretty sure the more injury prone they are, the more expensive they are to insure. I remember reading about this a few years back and thinking it was a joke at first.

Apparently if I want to ensure Reggie Bush and my entry fee is $100, my policy would cost me $11.

He has to miss 8 games or more, or else they don't give you the $100.

Darren McFadden costs the same as Reggie.

I'd say this might make sense for Arian Foster owners but he costs $18 to insure, essentially 18% of your buy in. :P

Can you get in trouble for fantasy football insurance fraud? Pretend like you are in a 250 dollar league, take out a policy on a guy like DMC who could very well miss 8+ games, and then collect the $227.50 in profit. :D :D

It sounds like you decide how much you want to insure your player for (I'm guessing up to the cost of your league fee). So if you wanted to insure X player for your league fee of $200 it will cost you $18+ as referenced below. I mean, I guess it's a good idea in theory of you're that hardcore about fantasy but wow, it's like what will they think of next?

Your cost for a FantasyPlayerProtect policy is based on the player covered and the amount of coverage requested. The total cost will be calculated at a player-specific premium rate, currently 9% to 13% of the insured value, plus taxes and fees. For example, if you choose to insure one player for $200 at a 9% rate, the cost of the policy will be $18 plus taxes and fees.

Do you want just the injury protection pack or the prison protection pack as well?

That's extra.

An hos does it work, like what if the player gets injured for one game or a season ending injury? Is the policy only paid out for season ending inuries, or lesser amount of games?

I'm gonna take out a policy on Greg the Leg so I'm not liable when he beats down opposing teams single handedly.

I'm sure there is a very affordable Tim Tebow policy they'd be willing to sell you.
