THIS IS THE CONSTITUTION FROM THE WEEKLY LEAGUE

some changes may be made as I get this league moving forward

Constitution Edit

BIG BOYS BALL

ARTICLE ONE - DECLARATIONS

1. The League. The league will be known as Daily Dynasty Duel ("League"). This is a KEEPER league.

2. The Constitution. This document will be referred to as the "Constitution."

3. The Commissioner. The Commissioner may be contacted at gvitag@yahoo.com . If the Commissioner changes his e-mail addresses, he will notify all owners via e-mail from the new address.

ARTICLE TWO - OWNERS' DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Number of Owners. The league will have TWELVE (12) owners, each managing their own team. This number may change upon approval of league owners.

2. Duties or Owners. Due to the nature of the league and the desire for owners to be consistently involved in the league, prior to participation in the league, each owner accepts the duty to the following:

a. Participate in any and all drafts whether be electronic or live. If owner is not able to participate he or she must notify the league via league “Message Board.” Owner must then either rank players for an electronic draft by the “Robot” or prepare a list of players to be selected by the “Commissioner.” This list must be sufficient to draft enough players such that the “Commissioner” will not be required to surmise the owner’s desired pick.

b. Promptly cast his or her vote. These votes are important to the league and need to be taken seriously.

c. Promptly respond to any and all polls. This pertains to polls in regards to serious league matters as well as any polls posted in fun. This league is designed for fun and the league expects 100% participation.

d. Promptly respond to e-mails from other owners and the Commissioner regarding trade offers and discussions and other league matters.

e. Promptly respond to official trade offers within 48 hours, either with acceptance, rejection, counteroffer and/or an indication that the owner is deciding on the trade.

f. Agree to participate for at least three seasons beginning in the 2014 Major League Baseball season or agree to help find a substitute owner willing to agree to the terms and conditions of the Constitution.

g. Otherwise uphold the integrity of the league. This includes "trying" through the end of the season, responding to trade offers promptly, and avoiding collusion or other inappropriate conduct.

3. Consequences of a Failure to Perform Duties. Failure to follow the duties outlined above WILL result in expulsion and denial of future participation in the league.

ARTICLE THREE - FORMAT AND SCORING

1. Head To Head. The format will be head to head with 4 (four) match ups per week. Scoring periods are weekly starting on Monday. Line up changes must be made 30 minutes prior to the first game played on Monday as per CBS Sportsline.com.

ARTICLE SIX - POSITION ELIGIBILITY

The league will be using CBS Sportsline.com position eligibility requirements primarily because the league is at Sportsline’s mercy for scoring purposes. For eligibility, a player must make 5 appearances in the current year or 20 appearances in the prior year at a particular position before they become eligible. At this point, the League is not responsible for determination of a player's eligibility.

ARTICLE SEVEN - MAJOR LEAGUE DRAFT

1. NA

ARTICLE EIGHT - WAIVERS AND FREE AGENTS

1. Free agents. Free agents will be available on a first come, first added basis.

2. Waivers. All players dropped from a team's rosters are placed on a 72-hour waiver period according to Sportsline’s waiver system. Waiver claims should be submitted in the order owners would like to see them processed. After one claim is successfully processed, the owner will be dropped to the lowest waiver priority and all the other owners will move up one position.

3. Players not on CBS’s List. There may be players that are not on CBS’s player list that are placed on a major league organization's roster. An owner can activate an unlisted player by posting a request on the league message board as well as sending the request to one or both league commissioners. Unlisted players will NOT clear a waiver request, the first team to make the request will be awarded that player. You MUST have a spot on your roster for the unlisted player or include in your request the player to be dropped to make the room. Once the request is granted a "placeholder" is added to your roster for that player. Eventually CBS will add that actual player to their system. At that time you MUST drop the "placeholder" and add the listed player. There have been times when the team with the "placeholder" doesn't realize that CBS added the player to the system and another team will pick up the player. THE TEAM WITH THE PLACEHOLDER WILL BE GRANTED THE PLAYER! In this case I/we will remove the player from the wrong team as well as reverse any add/drops that occurred because of the pick up. If you have a "placeholder", PLEASE, PLEASE, monitor player additions as well as add/drops closely for that player in an effort to avoid the confusion that comes with the commissioner adding a "placeholder." Requests for a "placeholder" must contain the players first and last name as well as position and the MLB they may be affiliated with. Obviously if they are still in HS or College, there most likely will be NO MLB affiliation.

ARTICLE NINE - TRADES

1. Time for Trades. Trades can be made at any time.

2. Non-Waiver Trade Deadline. NO TADE DEADLINE

3. Trade Review and Approval. All trades must be approved by the Commissioner and may be subject to peer review. The Commissioner will approve all trades unless there is evidence of collusion between the parties or if one party evidences the desire to quit or "give up." The Commissioner will not reject a trade because of including but not limited to on an owner's stupidity, idiocy, or misevaluation of a player unless it is deemed unconscionable. An owner in violation of the integrity of the League will be subject to immediate expulsion from the League and may be banned from future seasons.

ARTICLE TEN - KEEPERS

1. Number of Keepers. THIS BEING A “KEEPER LEAGUE” YOU WILL KEEP YOUE ENTIRE ROSTER FROM SEASON TO SEASON.

2. By doing so, that onwer will be locked out of making any transactions or posting on the league message board, and will no longer be able to participate in Big Boys Baseball.
