Markieff Morris 2013-2014 Season Outlook

Looks like he will be a starting PF for the Suns. Along with 2 Cs in Gortat and Len. 32min a game possible? I m targeting him in 12th round in my 13 teams roto league

His adp is in the 11th right now and he's been picking up hype as a sleeper pick so I don't think he'd fall to the 12th too often. He might contribute in defensive cats but the best I can see his fg% being is around 42%. And if he gets starting time it'll be hard for a team to come back from that. I think he'll hurt a roto team more than he helps.

a year is a long time for a lay off from any injury let alone an enlarged heart

plus I've heard a lot of communication from Frye's camp about his return to health but no real followup from the club about his return to the lineup - unless I've missed it?

if he averages 30mins i'd say those numbers go slightly higher.

lets say 12pt 7.5rb 1.5as 1.0st 1.2bk 1.0 3pm 43% 80% 1.5 to.

i got him and end of 10th round. he's worth a pick in the late rounds imo

I like him - last year Kieff’s per 36 min numbers in 32 starts

14.2ppg 8.1 rebs 1.1 3’s 1.35 stls 1.2 blks

.45/.81 plus .443 on 3’s additionally only 3 PFs per 36

I could be wrong though I was a big believer in Tyrus Thomas AND Anthony Randolph

Jeff Green had a year off also and he came on strong second half of last year, i think Frye will get 20-24 mins off the bench. He has been working out w/o restrictions last 2 months

he's been working out independent of the club - via rotoworld Sept 4

Channing Frye (heart) said he's been cleared to play by "numerous doctors," and he's waiting for the Suns to announce their plan for him this season.

"As far as I'm concerned, I'm 100 percent healthy for any professional athlete," said Frye, who missed the entire 2012-13 season due to an enlarged heart. "Right now I think it's just, let [the Suns] assess the information and go from there."

If you want to drop someone, drop McCollum since he fracture his foot and could miss 6-8 weeks.

On Yahoo they list 2 M. Morris players. How do you tell which one is starting? The differences that I can see is one is a year older, and one was traded to PHO last year?

Seems dumb but it is rather confusing.

Wondering how many minutes they're going to give Frye now. Him and Dragic are probably next on the block, so they might want to up his value a bit. Sounds like Morris is still starting though.

Does he gain anything at all from the gortat trade?

I'm sure he will see a boost in minutes...but I feel Frye may be the big winner here.

Frye is still injury prone, n inconsistent. Either way, Morris' value has gone up rather than down

Morris will share min with Frye of coz but I think he'll play more. Frye is better off coming off the bench and playing like a Ryan Anderson role but apparently he isn't quite as healthy

I like Markieff to follow the footsteps of some of the past waiver gems who are big men that can shoot 3’s, Troy Murphy, Channing Frye, and Ryan Anderson although he may not be on the waivers in some leagues but I think this is the season he takes the big step in his career.
