Rotoworld Blurb Writer Needs to be Fired

Browns director of player personnel Jon Sandusky was arrested Tuesday morning on suspicion of DUI.

Sandusky is the son of ex-Penn State defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky, who is currently imprisoned for raping boys. Jon, 36, was spotted by a police officer at 1:50AM Tuesday making an illegal turn. Jon was arrested in Fargo, ND. It's believed he was on a recruiting trip at North Dakota State.

In what universe is it ever acceptable to publish something like that on any website especially one owned by a major television network? I didn't know where else to voice my outrage but I had to say something. Imagine if one of those victims read that blurb. Why not just call it sexual assault like every single other news outlet does? Are you just trying to be edgy? Have you never heard of tact? I'm used to the usual immaturity from the blurb writers when it comes to a player's performance in a game but that's just over the line. Whoever wrote that blurb deserves to be fired. And if the mods don't like me posting this here then kindly point me in the right direction.

I completely agree. This is absolutely unacceptable. They should know better. Everyone involved should. This is ridiculous. We get it. We all know what happened. I don't think anyone is going to come on and find this funny. It is a very serious issue and this is just not the way to go about it. Show some class. Maybe use a real source next time.

As with every other feedback concern you have for the Rotoworld site, here is your link to contact them. A blurb writer isn't going to see your post in these forums or certainly their boss won't. If you're serious about your outrage, then I encourage you to express yourself......

Why would I not be serious?

Would calling it "sexual assault" have made it better for the victims?

It's probably better that Rape is called Rape rather than toning it down, imo. Euphamisms like "Sexual Assault" protect the perpatrator more than the victim.
