Jordan Crawford 2013-2014 Season Outlook

146 posts in this topic

He should be the starting PG for Boston while Rondo is out until late DEC or so. He had some big scoring games in Washington and has a decent all around skill set.

He's looked pretty solid this pre season, I think 13 ppg 5 apg and 4 rpg with a steal and a 3 on 42% shooting is within reach this season until Rondo comes back at least. Will you pick him up for the first few months of the season?

Just picked him up on round 15 of a 14 team league, so it was pretty slim pickings everywhere. I figure he's worth a late round flier on deep leagues until Rondo gets back.

Let me help you. The inefficiency, fg%, inconsistency, low steals and an undermined role..

this guy can score, assist, rebound ok, whats not to like?

Last year as a starter he averaged 16 points, 5.8 assists, 4.6 boards, 1.6 3's, 1 steal, 93% FT's and drum roll please.......36% FG's. He could sink your FG's, but he could fill it up everywhere else.

There's no doubt that he will produce when given the minutes. The question is just whether his decision-making has improved or if Brad Stevens will tolerate his mistakes

This took too damn long. I've said it all year long that Bradley is simply not suited to be a starting PG. Tonight, ball movement actually looks competent for once and their offense looks much more fluid. Granted, Stevens is taking a nice long look at Pressey tonight, but in the long run I think he's still a bit raw as a rookie. Hopefully this marks the beginning of Crawford being the clear-cut starting PG for Boston. As sad as it is to say this, Crawford is their best option there, and if he gets minutes, he'll be a very nice fantasy asset with his versatility.

Crawford tonight: 7 points, 4 assists, 2 rebounds in 28min.

Not the earth shattering numbers Crawford owners were hoping for in his 1st start.... that said, being in the starting lineup for a win has to be worth something in Boston these days ....

Hard to believe this is the same inefficient, turnover prone, high volume shooter from a couple years ago.

He's certainly grown as a player. He's actually buying in on the defensive end, he's passing up wide open three's to assist a big with a higher percentage look, and he's really putting his underrated playmaking skills to work. Bradley is not a PG and Pressey's been very up and down, so hopefully Crawford should have an iron grip on the starting PG role in Boston while Rondo is out.

Uh, he is really balling tonight. All around stats, good shot selection, some crafty looking passes including a few no-lookers. 1 more for a double double. If only he could keep up this kind of momentum year round.

10 assists and 0 turnovers and the 4th straight win for the Celtics. Things are looking up for Crawford's stock.

went ahead and dropped alec burks with hayward exploding on a nightly basis for jordan crawford. granted its only one game but he looked unselfish and had great vision of the court last night. hope he can keep this up until rondos return.

Via RW...

Jordan Crawford shot 6-of-15 from the field for 16 points with five boards, six assists, two steals and two turnovers in 35 minutes.

He had his usual wild contested shots in this game, but at least only turned the ball over just twice. Crawford is locked in as the starter at point guard with the team moving on from Avery Bradley and Phil Pressey having another off shooting night, missing all four shots. Crawford should carry some value until Rajon Rondo comes back. Nov 13 - 11:35 PM

He's posted some nice numbers & efficiency (suprisingly) over his last 4 starts: http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/4758/

Even when Rondo returns he'll still see big mins. He'll just shift to his natural SG position.
