Brandon Bostick 2013-14 Season Outlook

9 posts in this topic

As a a Packers fan I can say that Bostick is much better than Quarles when it comes to catching. It's not even close. Quarles is a better blocker though and he knows the system. Quarles will be the next man up but don't expect much from him in the passing game. He'll see some targets but will mostly used as blocker.

Nelson/Jones/Boykin are the ones who will profit most of Finley's injury.

Supposedly bostick would be the one to replace Finley as the move tight end. I know they made it a point to hold on to him because his availability was inquired about by several teams in the off season. Any new thoughts?

Thus far, coaches have been hesitant to play Bostick. Playing with Aaron Rodgers demands on-the-fly, pre-snap adjustments. That's been a process for the young tight end. "I'm pretty confident but there's always a revolving door in this offense," Bostick said. "You have to pick it up week to week, so I think I'm still learning. I'm still learning the game plan. Hopefully, I'll be ready on Sunday." So far, Bostick added, coaches haven't dulled the game plan for the tight ends as a whole. Nothing has changed.

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel believes Brandon Bostick "could very well be" the Packers' "future" at tight end.

Jermichael Finley is a free-agent-to-be and may never play football again after undergoing single-level fusion surgery for a herniated disc in his neck. "If he can just get it in his mind that nobody can stop him, and go out there and play the way he plays at practice, he's going to become a great player because he has all the tools," teammate James Jones said. Bostick has seen his snaps rise in the absence of Finley, and he's registered four catches for 68 yards and one touchdown. The coaching staff admits he needs to improve as a blocker to see more playing time. Bostick should be owned in dynasty formats.

Dynasty grab!
