Jamal Crawford 2013-2014 Season Outlook

52 posts in this topic

I couldn't find a topic about Jamal so here's a good spot to start one. So far he is averaging 17/2/2, with 50% shooting and 2.7 threes a game. It looks like Crawford is the main scoring threat for the Clippers 2nd lineup, and he makes sure he puts up a healthy number of shots, and 3's, while he's on the court.

I like him for a late round pick just to get some extra 3's.

Drafted him in a deep, scoring-emphasized league. Have been very happy with him so far, especially since I had some concerns about his playing time due to the Clippers' depth, and more specifically, the acquisitions of Dudley, Collison and Reddick.

Yeah, the TO's are a bit high for a bench player, but he's the "lighting in a bottle" for the Clippers, and always delivers quick points off the bench. If this guy got traded to a team where he could be a starter, I have no doubt that he could be putting numbers similar to what Kevin Martin is posting with Min. He would be the ideal player to put in Detroit, a team that lacks a legit 2 that can help spread the floor for their frontcourt studs.

As a Jamal Crawford owner & Clippers fan, I expect him to average at least 2.5 threes a game simply b/c he's shooting them more than he did last season & Doc Rivers is having him spot up more (i.e. less ball handling). His FG% will also improve from last season b/c of this.

Holy smokes. I just dropped him too.. I wouldn't expect anything like this again but with CP3 out is Crawford a legit fantasy player?

Yeah, if CP3 is out for any extended amount of time, Jamal will definitely be worth starting for as long as CP3 is out.

Haha, I was packaging this guy in with Noah for sell low trades, but now it looks like getting rejected was the best thing to happen

They're gonna regret declining Crawford now that his value skyrockets,

what do you think he'll average as long as Redick is out?

I've been enjoying me some Jamal all season...

I wonder how much his minutes will really go up. He's already playing a ton, at almost 27 a game. Maybe it's bumped to 34?

Anybody think the Captain Jack signing will affect his minutes? He hasn't beasted like I thought he would with Redick out.

I just shipped him out for Terrence but I think Captain Jack should'nt affect his play. I mean JJ Reddic played more minutes than what Jack will play so I don't see no harm done.

In an odd strange way, Jamal seems to be better off the bench when Reddick was there.

Jamal Crawford will start at SG for the Clippers on Saturday, shifting Willie Green to the bench.

I'm pretty sure this guy is the big winner in the CP3 injury. Right when Redick is about to be ready to come back, Crawford gets another shot in value.

Leads the league in 4th quarter scoring supposedly. Pretty impressive considering Durant, Melo, Lebron, Curry, Harden etc.

No one else has him huh? Because he has been killing it lately and has 24 in the first half already...

He just goes out and does his thing year after year, without fanfare. Mid-teens points, a couple of threes, assists and boards and usually a steal.

I guess the bigger news will be when he gets to the point where you can't count on him for that.
