Grant Balfour 2014 Outlook

This is probably an elite spot for him to go. He will be the unquestioned closer in Tampa and has had previous success there. I'd move him into the top 15 closers after hearing this.

Too bad, I was looking forward to seeing Heath Bell saving 40+ games with a 2-3 ERA due to the Rays magic. Good signing by the Rays. I expect more of the same with Balfour in 2014. Hopefully he got a deal similar to the one he was suppose to get with the Orioles.

We both know that Health Bell would have had an era around 1-2 with the Rays if he was the closer. Now i have to hope for an injury to Balfour.

No you don't. I have Balfour on a dynasty team. I'll put banana peels all around Bell to ensure my guy closes, heh.

But yeah Baltimore passing on him might be the best thing that happened for him ... and me ... closer-wise. Guy has been a rock last two seasons. O's will rue the day.
