All depends on where he goes. Signs are pointing towards Cleveland.

(RotoWire)Tate agreed to a two-year contract with Cleveland on Saturday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

Analysis: Tate has dealt with a wide variety of problematic injuries over his NFL career, including cracked ribs most recently, but this signing sets the stage for Tate to perhaps break out as a fantasy back in 2014. The Browns had one of the least talented running back groups prior to Tate's signing, so he should safely emerge as the team's starter so long as he stays healthy. Cleveland offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan has a history of overseeing productive running backs, and Tate's combination of size and speed hints at noteworthy upside as long as the Browns don't select another runner early in the draft.

Yeah he's the man (pending the draft). I love this move for his value. I'd like him as a flex ideally but he's a legit RB2 now.

Easily an RB2 with RB1 upside. Perfect 3rd/4th round pick :). Offcourse the risk is with the QB play but Josh Gordon should open up a lot of running lanes for Tate.

Now all the Browns need to do is draft well and get some QB/OL help to complement a stud WR, a decent RB and a very good defense. I am sure they will find a way to screw this up :)

Very talented back, only concern is the health....always banged up in Houston.

I agree with this. At this point there isn't a way I could use a 3rd/4th round pick on a guy who has yet to play a full season as a complimentary RB, let alone a workhorse.

I feel the same way. Not sure how anyone can put him in the 10-15 range right now?

Are people really more confident that he can stay healthy than they are about Doug Martin, CJ Spiller, Ray Rice, or Arian Foster bouncing back? Are you really taking his limited usage over the solid rookie years we just saw from Bell, Giovani or the assumed roll of Ball? (assuming Moreno is gone) I'm not.

I'm looking at my rankings, and trying to decide if I should really be treating him any different than Ryan Mathews or DMC?

One thing I really like is his attitude. He's been dying to be a feature back somewhere and with the attitude changes coming in the Brown's locker room, he's gonna be high on my list. Would take him above Spiller depending on the draft.

If the Browns got Johnny and then an OLineman to bolster themselves upfront, that offense could actually be very good.

Huge upside with considerable risk.

If healthy, wouldn't rule out a Michael Turner-esque breakout (when Turner bolted to ATL). Not in style, but in overall impact - Tate has better pass patching potential.

Or he could stub his toe and miss 6 games.

I like him in the 4th/5th round. I would rather grab 2 other starting backs before him but I could live with him as my #2 if I had loaded up other positions. I still wouldn't be surprised if they drafted someone in the first 4 rounds that could fight for carries. He's definitely a health risk I'd want to handcuff, but he's got the potential to put up legit numbers at least comparable to Richardson or Peyton Hillis in the past browns unis

I see Tate coming in and at the least be a RB2 with high RB1 potential. As a browns fan I'll be targeting him earlier than most people! I just put a piece up on Tate and hope he can stay healthy

He's a RB #2 since, as long as he's healthy, should be getting the majority of the carries. I think 4/5th round is about right. Hard to say this early at the moment though without really listing out all of the RB's, but 4th/5th sounds right anyways.

Well, he definitely landed in the best place to get touches.

Who is the handcuff as of now? I bet they draft a young RB as insurance.

Can't believe how little money RB's get now. He is a steal at $7 mil over two years.

Fantasy take: Look for Tate to be a top 15 RB this year baring no injury set backs. He is a versatile back that will come into play because Cleveland is becoming an aerial team. He has great vision and hits the holes as they open up. Tate has the potential to jump Cleveland up from the 27th ranked running team that it was in 2013.

Someone with some vision. Bravo.

Anyone can say this. The issue isn't his talent, it's his health. Bottom line, end of story. The guy hasn't played a full season and he isn't even a starter. THAT is a risk when you want to start talking top 10-15.

I think he can be top 15 if he plays a full sixteen game schedule. I don't see it especially with the type of running back Tate is. I like his slashing and punishing style because it's so fun to watch, but fantasy wise he scares me. I'll take him in the fifth, but I know that'll be too late.

If Tate plays a full 16 games, I think he's a lock top 10 fantasy RB with upside to produce as a top 5 guy. He basically has no competition for carries and the CLE offense should be run-heavy with new OC KShanahan. The O-line should be solid too. The injury concern is THE issue with this guy for 2014.

I wouldn't say top five, but definitely top ten. I don't think it'll be run based either. I understand they don't have a QB that is competitive, but when you have weapons like Gordon and Cameron you're gonna toss the pigskin lol I'd say probably about a 50/50 split or at most 60/40 pass. I'm also worried Cleveland is high on Hyde in the second. I think if he's there they take him.
