J.A. Happ 2014 Outlook

Didn't see a thread on him yet.

He's been flat out consistently pounding the strike zone and has a rotation spot now locked up on the best offence major league baseball.

no way he should be on the wire in your league.

He gets ripped way more then he should. He's comparable to Peavy. Average pitchers on good teams. If you're looking for W's then they are options. Otherwise statistically speaking nothing to be excited about.

Not relevant in any leagues I play in, not even owned in a deepish 16 teamer. Are you a Jays fan by any chance?

This upcoming week he's got two starts against not great SPs (Correia on MIN and Tillman on BAL).

Anyone else got the cajones to roll this guy out? As said, he's been consistent with 4 wins in last 5 starts.

Matchup to exploit tomorrow @SEA or still a guy to avoid? Seattle aren't great against lefties

This may be the first time I've look at JAY Happ's stats and was actually intrigued...

26:6 K:BB in the past 30 days

21:5 K:BB in the past 15 days

Any Jays fans been watching recently? Is he doing something differently?

And yeah, @ SEA is a fantastic matchup for a lefty.

He struck out 12 dudes in his last start!

Man, now you guys got me scratching my chin thinking about a spot start...

So, is anyone starting him tonight?

I am, mainly because I'm short on starts this week with injuries to a couple other pitchers. I'm hoping for a QS.

Now that we're all starting him he's gonna get blasted. Just the way it works. Couldn't turn down the matchup though

So, is anyone starting him tonight?

I chickened out after the Mariners scored 11 last night. A QS would not surprise me in the least, however.
