A quick outlook into the league:

We do not use contracts. Instead, for the NBA Franchise League, will we use a year round budget of $100. You cannot trade any of this budget, and if you run out, you cannot bid on any other free agents for the year. You can increase the bidding by a minimum of $1 increments, and the starting bid has to be a minimum of $1. The budget will last from now to July 1st, 2015. Post a thread on your roster page that is titled "Free Agent Signings" and post your free agents you got, and post how much money you have left. All players that were free agents at the end of the 2013/14 season are free agents in this league (LeBron, Carmelo, etc. are all free agents)This system will also be implemented for future years.

Spurs

Cavaliers

Clippers

Knicks

Thunder

Celtics

Warriors

Rockets

Hornets

76ers

are the only teams claimed as of now, the rest are still open. Still a lot of good teams left!

We do have a start up league and we're halfway full. There are still some very interesting teams left.

Just a quick overview:

This is a free 30-team dynasty league that has no salary or contracts but there is a $100 budget for free agency. The rosters of the teams are pre-FA, all the 2014 FA are FAs in this league, that's where we will use the $100 budget; so LeBron, Melo, Bledsoe are FAs. Miami Heat would have Wade, Bosh but no McBob nor Deng since they are FAs. Mavericks won't have Parsons, etc..

We would also have the rookie draft every year moving forward with the current draft based in real life.

Here are the league rules:

Here are the open teams:

Nets

Mavericks

Nuggets

Pacers

Lakers

Grizzlies

Heat

Timberwolves

Pelicans

Trailblazers

Kings

Raptors

Jazz

So to sum it up, the NBA team you pick you inherit there team (minus FA & RFA's), and you can bid on FA's with a $100 budget per team. Rookies drafted this year are assigned to teams already but in 2015 we'd draft in the same order as the real NBA Draft. No add/drops during the season since you have the whole roaster I assume.

Sounds interesting, I'll think about it

If a player is traded between now and the start to the NBA season, which team gets him? The team he's on now or the team he gets traded to?

The rosters would be pre-FA, so LeBron would be an FA or there's a special case for Miami (who only has Norris Cole on their roster). Melo would be an FA. The rosters would stay put before the FA period.

Here's the special case for rosters who have almost no players:

Teams with rosters of 5 or less players at the start of the league will get some players from the previous year, but not the top 2 scoring guys. The system:

0-1 guys on roster: 5 players from year before

2 guys on roster: 4 more guys

3 guys on roster: 3 more guys

4 guys on roster: 2 more guys

5 guys on roster: 1 more guy

For example, the Heat have 1 player and can re-sign 5 guys but not their top 2 scoring players. (We don't know who yet since we have to vote on scoring)

Very interested in joining but I have a few questions. Does this mean that Melo is not on the Knicks roster and Bosh and Wade aren't on the Heats? Thanks

Yes as they would be FAs to be bid on, but there's a special case we made for teams that have very few players.

Ok so to recap, the Heat have no Wade or Bosh in this league? If that's the case, I think I'll take the Nets man

The Heat can have Bosh since LeBron and Wade were the 2 top scorers last year, LeBron is an FA here, not on the Cavs.

Yes, okay great! Please do register in the forums and post in the sign up thread.
