I was thinking of trading KD for 2 PG in Lowry and Conley. Should I make that move?

PG: Rajon Rondo, George Hill, Marcus Smart

SG: JJ Redick, Wilson Chandler

SF: Kevin Durant, Nicolas Batum

PF: Dirk Nowitzki, Donatas Motiejunas, Terrance Jones

C: Deandre Jordan, Channing Frye, John Henson

This is 16 teams - 9 cats

Oh 16-teamers make this a bit different. But I'm a huge believer in KD's upside (it's crazy to say upside) but last year he's such a fantasy god that he's statistically a better fantasy value than 2 first round picks combined, as per Basketball Monster. Even if depth is important in deeper leagues I'd stay put with KD and look to deal someone else. Just to give perspective, If it were Lebron I'd probably do it considering his playoff sched so that's how different I see their values are.

Btw if you look to acquire two PGs, please deal Rondo. He isnt good and acquiring 2 more PGs when you already have 3 makes his assists useless.

Thanks, but I don't think G. Hill and M. Smart can handle down the assist port alone.

Yes you are right they can't and you should look to improve PGs. But when 2 more PGs arrive in addition to what you have, you'll have 5 PGs and an overload in assists, which makes Rondo's assist value useless surplus while the rest of his stats a liability.

Oh I see what you meant. Is there a way I can improve my team through?

I was offered Kyrie + DMC for Lawson + CP3.

He's been wanting Lawson for awhile and if I trade Lawson, I figure I should just go the full mile and punt assists and which is why CP3 and DMC are in the trade. If I punt assists, would Kyrie and DMC make my team better?

Are there any worries of Kyrie playing with Bron, Love and NOW JR?

There is always a way. At first glance I already want to trade away Rondo and Deandre Jordan since they conflict with Dirk and KD's FT%. Look for the team that owns Drummond or Dwight and trade them in a 2-for-2 or 3-for-2 package to get a decent PG and a decent big in return. This is my personal opinion though and I understand it may take hard work to get a deal like that done.

Hey

Who wins in this deal

Cousins/Danny Green or Drummond/Millsap

If receiver of Drummond side punts FT then I like that better.

There definitely are some uncertainties with players in the Cavs outside of Lebron, since they themselves are still figuring things out and thus us fantasy owners too. But I dont see his value dropping too much though if ever. I still think Kyrie is likely > Lawson especially given the weird FT slump and that DMC CP3 is a bit of a wash, so your I agree with your trade idea generally. Although by itself you could punt assists, but then just want to bring up that you also have the choice not to punt assists given that DMC provides there as well. If you push through with the deal, then you're only trading for 1 PG away from not punting assists

12 team, 9 CAT, h2h

Nurkic was just dropped and I'm high on his upside but obviously have my expectations tempered. My end of the bench guys include IT, Trey Burke, and Motiejunas; who would you propose I drop? I have 3 Suns already in Bledsoe, Len, and IT, and because of the weak playoff schedule, Isaiah will probably be inevitably dropped; I'm just holding because his upside from a trade/injury is huge. Hard to move him through trade, though. Trey's been better since Burkes went down, and my team is usually able to absorb his putrid %s. Any suggestions? I was also considering a potential stash of RoLo. Thanks.

Nurkic or Nerlens upside/ROS?

And... I had another question but I've now forgotten it after reading the whole thread. lol.

I've remembered!

Who's the 2nd SG in the league behind Harden in your opinion?

I agree. I've been trying so hard to trade for Dipo, Evans, etc. to no avail which has caused me to go the punting route haha

No I dont think Isiah should be "inevitably dropped." I think that when a hot streak happens you should actively try to deal him as a kicker in a package deal. He's not the type of player who's appealing as a standalone trade piece. He just isnt droppable imo. Burke and Motie arent either. I'd probably stay put or find a good 2-for-1 deal asap, especially that Rolo is also on your wire.

Posted this in a separate thread, but would like your recommendation as well

I want Danny Green (or any 3 point specialist if you guys have suggestions) on my team. I like Danny because of the steals and blocks on top of the 3's

Here's my team

PG: Conley

SG: Bryant, Mcdaniels, CJ Miles

SF: Korver

PF: Millsap, Sullinger, Thaddeus, Dmo, Frye

C: Drummond, Chandler, Nurkic

IR: TJones

Oppositions team

PG: Rondo, GHill, Calderon

SG: Ellis, Green,

SF: Matthews, Pierce, Pope, Barnes,

PF: Cousins, Griffin, Gibson

C: JHill

How can I get Green? I offered Kobe for Green straight up and he gave it a 3/5, so I'm assuming he's not interested in Kobe. I would need to offer something else.

Nurkic is in a hard to predict scenario with obstacles such as his inconsistencies and a troubling coach. I'd probably take Noel though ROS but Nurkic having the higher yet harder to achieve upside. I play in Yahoo and Curry is SG eligible so him, but if we're talking about strictly wings tier 2 would be a battle between Kawhi Butler and Klay. I'd take any of them but if I had to rank them ROS I'd go Klay Butler Kawhi but it's close and I'm even having a hard time ranking them now

If he gave it a 3/5 then maybe you need an additional 2/5 to make it work. I'd personally try to deal with Kobe as much as I can as he is on the must trade list now. Try a certain combination of 2-for-1s like Kobe+somebody else near the end of your bench for Green. If that works it's a win

My thoughts essentially, hence why I've stayed put and have thrown out multiple 2 for 1 offers. Tough situation but you're right and I couldn't justifying cutting anyone. Needed the assurance. Much appreciated!

Aww man. Maybe try to lower your standards a bit in terms of trade targets? But yeah I'd still stay put despite the tough situation

for my team 1. i like smart's production as of late especially since green's departure. he doesn't score much but i could use his assists, 3s and steals. who should i drop for smart? i am thinking about plumlee since brolo might not leave by next month's trade deadline. switch or stayput? thanks

Aww man I dont think you have a drop for smart. That's not necessarily bad news since that means your team is deep even for a 10 team. But you should free up a roster space via 2 for 1 if you wanna make that move. I suggest including a Denver or a Boston guy because I just cant deal with the inconsistencies of their coaches...

thanks man, i would rather to have denver or boston player than having jonas val, whose mpg is being toyed by the smartest coach of the world.

I was offered Bosh and Joe Johnson for my Marc Gasol and Holiday. Thoughts?

I feel I can get more and asked for Hayward instead of Joe, but he doesn't like that deal.

Holiday situation is a bit murky, but the only thing important is that he comes back and you make the fantasy playoffs. Marc Gasol side for me. Marc > Bosh and Holiday > Joe Johnson. I'd do this deal only if Holiday's injury is very serious. He is questionable instead of doubtful next game and that's not saying much, but I think it means he wont miss THAT much time

F- Nene

C - Nerlens Noel

C- T. Thompson
