Acid reflux

Recommended Posts

anyone else experiencing this with regularity or am I the only miserable prick with an 80 year old stomach here? Doc placed me on Omniprazole a month ago, but certain foods still trigger these awful pains every now and then.

If anyone has a quick late night fix to help go to sleep I'd love to hear it!

Maslox isn't even doing the trixk

As my doctor said to me, "I'm not going to tell you to stop eating bad foods or drinking because I know that's not realistic."

Two things that have worked for me.

Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar - (Daily maintenance)

Zegerid - (Bad Flare-up)

I found that if I don't eat as heavy for my last meal of the day I don't have as many issues with it. I also cut out a lot of the acidic/spicy foods, as that aggravated it. Also don't lay down right after eating.

Most meds just caused rebound effects, the best one I used was Aciphex. I use Tums now occasionally, or OTC meds.

I would just try different meds, one should work. I have a hiatal hernia so I'm on Omeprazole twice a day for the rest of my life, and the only time I ever have issues is when I forget to take it.

Cider vinegar, as mentioned above, is also helpful.
