Based on this group, I like combination of Reimold and Davis. First off, I prefer to take hitters than pitchers if I only have limited picks. Second, Reimold and Davis give you a nice combination of quick results and high upside. Reimold will be up this year and has a lot of power. He could take over the starting DH by the end of the year if the Orioles make another trade or two (which I think they will) and at the very least he should be worth a few HR's and RBI's. In 2009, I would say he is the favorite to be their DH. Davis, on the other hand, is still 2 years away but has .280, 30 HR, 100 RBI potential and he could reach that potential fairly quickly once he finally makes it up.

ok so narrowed down to Reimold, Aumont, Parker, and Davis.

I think i will go with 1 hitter and 1 pitcher out of these 4.

Which 2 should it be?

I like Aumont better.

Not sure about the hiters.

If you HAVE to take a pitcher, take Aumont, but I really wouldn't take any of the three you mentioned. Aumont and Parker are the most talented but both are fresh out of high school. Why don't you look back at the past five or six MLB drafts and see how many early selection high school pitchers actually panned out the way they were expected to. I'll do you a favor and show you. Here are the top 5 HS pitchers taken in each draft from 2000-2005. Draw your own conclusions...

2000:

#4 - Mike Stodolka

#7 - Matt Harrington

#8 - Matthew Wheatland

#9 - Mark Phillips

#10 - Joe Torres

2001:

#4 - Gavin Floyd

#9 - Colt Griffin

#12 - Mike Jones

#16 - Chris Honel

#17 - Daniel Denham

2002:

#3 - Christopher Gruler

#4 - Adam Loewen

#5 - Clint Everts

#6 - Zack Greinke

#15 - Scott Kazmir

2003:

#9 - John Danks

#14 - Ryan Wagner

#16 - Jeffrey Allison

#24 - Chad Billingsley

#27 - Eric Duncan

2004:

#1 - Matt Bush

#7 - David Bailey

#17 - Tim Elbert

#23 - Phil Hughes

#25 - Steve Waldrop

2005:

#8 - Wade Townsend

#16 - Chris Volstad

#18 - Cesar Carillo

#20 - Mark Pawelek

#22 - Aaron Thompson

And as for Patton? He's just not all that great a pick. But hey, if you really feel the need to get a pitcher, by all means.

Davis should be the lock no matter what. He's far above the rest of that list in my opinion.
