3 Options For Week 1 FLEX Start

Recommended Posts

Trying to get an idea here.

Of these 3 players who would be best to start @ my FLEX spot?

Danny Woodhead (@KC)

Jordan Matthews (@PHI)

Corey Coleman (@PHI)

My other 2 starting WRs are AJ Green & Keenan Allen

My other 2 starting RBs are Carlos Hyde & Jeremy Langford

Thanks.

I like Jordan Matthews, Melvin Gordon looks better now, not sure what the woodhead split will be.

I roll with Matthews to start. He was actually pretty decent last year, (900+ yds, 9 TDs if memory serves correctly) and is going into that notorious Year 3 where WR's are expected to make a big jump. He's who I'd use until you see how the rest shakes out with the other two.

PPR is Woodhead for sure. Non PPR then it's a toss up between Woodhead and Matthews, but I probably still lean Woodhead.

.5 ppr? Woodhead. He did me wonders last year and it was standard league. Rivers always loves to use him alot.

Chargers at KC? Not Woodhead. I vote Coleman & RGIII against the Eagles DBs

Given the fact it is 0.5 PPR, I'd initially suggest Woodhead, but his matchup against KC turns me away. I'd go with Matthews against that Browns defense.

Thanks for the help on mine.

Not coleman.

I would go Matthews.  I mean someone has to catch the ball......unless it is Ertz.

I still go Matthews

I think I lean Matthews.  I'm guessing SD goes Gordon-heavy this season but I don't really know; would like to "wait and see" on Woodhead's production.  Matthews is a safer play for Week 1 and I've always been a fan of his.  Woodhead is a fairly close second.
