I went chalk, no bills or titans, 8th overall was tough.  I went with fournette thinking they will lean on the run game and defense as the 7.5 favorites.  I anticipate two games of production, and if they advance they avoid New England.  Here's to hoping they knock out the steelers and I get 3 games production from fournette

Alex smith, similar story, just need the qb production for a couple games, the chiefs come in as the 7.5 favorites over the titans.  Main worries are seeing the titans keeping the score down(watched some titans games this season and many seem to score less than 30/game).  Other good qbs were there, but decided o go with the spread

woods, I could see this game going either way, but woods is a bonafide stud in that offense and wanted some NFC share, let's take a shot

hogan, gotta have that New England share

alshon, NFC share, wr1 in the offense, why not

jesse James, with being able to flex tight end position, I could tell Bartos was deadest on drowning others in that spot, it's not like qb, def, kicker wher you still get one if you miss the train, I felt the urgency to draft james

philly def, not much merit for this one, home team, NFC share

ficken, kicker in high powered offense, I'll take a shot

trouffant, I deliberately waited to make my pick, (no wasn't napping), I was waiting for the practice reports to come out to see if demarco practiced, after another dnp, decided to go touffant in the Hail Mary handcuff upside to bell over Tolbert, whom seems like a good pick given mccoys situation, but Jacksonville at home I would be lucky to see more than one game out of tolbert

Love the write up man!

When I drew 2nd pick in the draft, immediately knew Brady would be gone and I had very little confidence in the QBs across the board.  I felt like I had to dominate one or two positions and hope for multiple weeks from my studs.

Decided to go zero qb and then after getting my RBs wanted to get Kelce for my TE because I like KC this year to go 2-3 games. As an eagles fan I love Ertz and I planned to get Foles but Predator took him.

i think the eagles get two games just off their Defense and maybe go to the big game if the offense starts to click.  Either way Ertz will have 10 targets in the first game.

When it came to WR I figured Benjamin is back and they may be playing catch-up

hopefully if they can manage to win or at least he gets some good pts I’ll be happy.

shepard, well whatever dart throw

good luck all

like 1972, i also went chalk to start the draft. i was happy that keenum was there at 6. easy pick at that point as minny has as a good a shot at any to emerge out the nfc

cooks was also an easy pick. great shot to play three games. at this point i liked the idea of targeting pats/vikes

mickinnon i felt was a reach in retrospect. shoulda maybe went burkhead and possibly mckinnon is around in rd 4 and i coulda stuck with my pats/vikes theme to start. but i got scared off a bit by his injury and just went with mickinnon first as i felt he offers some safe ppr pts

ajayi was just a rb pick as they were drying up fast. not thrilled with him and he caused my rex regret. but i can be happy that i got two rbs by this point

pats d/st was an easy pick once a couple of them were off the board and they were still around

agholor was the best wr left on my board. at this point i started to like the concept of eagles as the draft was in the later half and people are down on them so if they win one game they could provide decent value. it also gives me a few clear routes to potentially cash here

i can't believe pred didn't take mcdonald right before me with the steeler theme of his team. just needed to fill the spot and he has had a couple decent games toward the end. good shot at at least two games. coulda done worse considering i waited on te for a long time

torrey smith in the flex was just to stick with an eagle. maybe he breaks a long one.

elliot at the end was fitting.

so i'm hoping for a pats/pitt and phi/minny championship weekend. i might need it considering my entire team is off for the first week and will have to dig out of a hole. everyone being down on the eagles and not expecting them to win a game helped me make an alternate strat after the minny and vikes plan went up in smoke. if the eagles can win one game it might pay off. they have the defense to do it and a gameplan involving lots of ajayi could be beneficial to them and me. if the top seeds in each conference make it to championship weekend then i will have 3-6 players in the sb depending on the outcome. i'll take that considering the draft slot i drew and the nature of a contest like this

I wrote McDonald in as my TE, but I made the mistake of assuming he'd be there at the next pick.

I was thinking about RBs, and it was between Clement and West. I have Kansas City playing 2 games, so West was the better option. I wanted to avoid the zero at RB.

I honestly thought you or LV would take the more attractive Charles Clay [or Everett] and never thought McDonald would be on your radar. Bit presumptuous of me.

It's still not that bad, as I can see West+Foles+Higbee outscoring McDonald+Foles+Touissant (or Ridley, whichever Steelers 2nd RB I would have picked).

I'm expecting multiple games from 8 of my 9 players, and If Bell and one of the Saints WRs blow up, i should finish in the money. Best case scenario is a Steelers-Saints SB.

I'm confident that the Saints are playing at least 3 games. Very well rounded team, led by a great QB and the best run game in the league. My confidence in the Saints's chances led me to consider taking Kamara or Ingram over Bell, but Bell's big time upside was impossible to pass on.

Luckily, i ended up with 2 Saints WRs, and this could be a good ploy since the Saints opponents will focus on stopping those hugely prolific RBs. Taking Foles later on was absolutely crucial, because it mitigates the impact of an early Saints elimination [at Philadelphia]. Points are locked in.

I rate the Steelers as the best team in the AFC (and my Superbowl winners), so my team had to be Steelers heavy. Kickers score well in this format, so Boswell was a no brainer. Martavis Bryant could have a significant role if Brown fails to recover from his calf injury.

My 2nd best team in the AFC are the Chiefs, and like Bartos, i'm expecting a strong showing from them. Their season got back on track, and they have a very decent chance of beating New England in Foxboro.

I was impressed by their defense, as they put up 10 sacks, 7 INTs, and 5 fumble recoveries in their final 4 regular season games. Those are some serious numbers. They also have Tyreek Hill on special teams, always a threat to hit the homerun. Very happy with this pick.

Some thoughts on the standings and strategies:

  1. My strategy was an all or nothing type of move, good approach, poor player selections

  2. Pack is near full strength and is guaranteed to have players on Superbowl Sunday, don’t overlook him

  3. Vikes and Matt put up some early points and maintain 50% strength, good enough to make this interesting.  Perhaps the start of a new rivalry?  Who knows.

  4. Prez, this is perhaps the only time you will lead me in total points, enjoy.

  5. I updated the list, Scuppers only has one player, sorry for the miss

  6. Mr.Blonde has a healthy lead and dion lewis remaining long with Lambo, one of them will get two games, could keep the lead for him

  7. My team is really awful.

  8. Still enough teams with some players remaining, can make this interesting.
