Great tools but I have concerns over whether he can make enough contact to have a good enough average.

The K-Rate is concerning to be sure, but there's category juice in spades, and he does take walks ... for whatever that's worth.

Glad I hung onto him. Let's see, a Bellinger-type start would be just fine with me.

I think the guy's worth grabbing for that hot start potential ... he's a good athlete and can make some noise with those athletic tools.  His defense should be good enough to keep him in the lineup, and his speed should be useful on the basepaths.

It really does all boil down to the contact rate, but his second go at AAA has been significantly better than his first.

Last year at AAA we saw a hideous 37.3% K-rate with a gross .305 SLG and an equally atrocious .063 ISO, giving him a wRC+ of 95.

This year at AAA, the K-rate is still concerning at 29.9%, but the quality of contact has improved substantially with his ISO jumping to .238, the SLG jumping to .532, and the wRC+ jumping to 153.  Those are major strides to say the least.

Added quickly in my OBP AL Only.  I'm hesitant in my K for batters, 12-team mixed.

Had an open spot so went ahead and grabbed him in my 12-team mixed.  We'll see what he can do!

Seems like Keon Broxton is a good comp. Very similar numbers in AAA prior to their callup.

I added him to my roster in 2 yahoo leagues?  Kyle is his brother.

My guess is if you don't see him, he's on another roster.

Might be your league settings. He will be available via waivers after midnight.

Check league settings where it says " New Players Become Available:"

If it says after callup or after put on 40 man roster or something like that, then there is your answer why

Maybe. I'll keep checking. Snagged him in my CBS points league.

My league says "as soon a yahoo adds them". If yours doesn't say that then that's your answer.

New Players Become Available: Wait until called up to Majors

What does that mean? Sounds like he should be available.

I don't have a lot of faith in him right now (loud tools, but I'm probably more concerned by the ugly K rate than most), but I grabbed him anyway. These high-K guys tend to be streaky, so if he starts out with a bang I'll be looking to sell high.

It means that he won't be added into your league until today, and will follow waiver rules.

If he were already available, your league settings would say "As soon as Yahoo adds them"
