It could....but the latest I've seen is that they're selling Pennant and Hyppia to Stoke to raise funds to buy Albert Riera from Espanyol.

It's been a busy final day. Here's what's transpired thus far:

Liverpool sold defender Steve Finnan to Espanyol for an undisclosed fee, and sent Andriy Voronin to Hertha Berlin on a year-long loan deal....the Reds also completed the Albert Riera deal with Espanyol and also signed Brazilian striker Vitor Flora.

Tottenham signed defender Vedran Corluka from Manchester City for $17 million, and accepted a $60 million bid from Man City for striker Dmitar Berbatov, but he's agreed to a deal with Manchester United, and Citeh hasn't been able to talk to him about a contract.

Meanwhile, Robinho is coming to England, but not to Chelsea....instead Man City have landed him for $65 million.

American Michael Bradley, who had been with PSV Heerenven in Holland, is on his way to Germany after signing a four-year deal with Borussia Moenchengladbach.

Portuguese side FC Porto is sending winger Ricardo Quaresma to Inter Milan in a deal that could be worth up to $45 million; they also received midfielder Vitor Hugo Gomes Passos.

Newcastle signed Valencia midfielder Nacho Gonzalez on a year-long loan.

Blackburn signed Northampton goalkeeper Mark Bunn to a four-year deal.

Portsmouth signed Lens left back Nadir Belhadj on a year-long loan with an option to buy.

Torino signed Bolton defender Blerim Dzemaili on a year-long loan.

Dimitar Berbatov is now with Man United....the total deal with Tottenham is worth $61.5 million, and includes a season-long loan of young striker Frazier Campbell to Spurs.

Everton paid out a club-record $30 million to Standard Liege in Belgium for midfielder Marouane Fellaini

Newcastle spent $11.4 million on Deportivo La Coruna striker Xisco.

And an heads up for January.......

Man City's new ownership group are determined to make City bigger than United, and could lodge a $270 million bid for Cristiano Ronaldo when the transfer window re-opens in four months.
