5 games in AL stadiums with weak pitching and two lineup fixtures back

this week should be monstrous, and if it’s not, I will start to worry

Last 15:

10/47 (.213)

17 K

4 BB

However, is only second to Trout in walks this year. This is fascinating. There's a healthy Nationals lineup out there tonight.

Buy.

Batting .197 in his last 32 games, yikes. And just 2 walks in his last 11 games.

BB in his first AB.  nice reverse psych...

Damn. I will take the walk but I have a feeling he hits a home run tonight.

Question, why own this guy if he’s just going to take walks or strikeout.  Yeah he hits a bomb every now and then, yay.

Pitchers have zero reason to give Harper pitches to hit.  He has no protection in the lineup, the Nats can’t hit.  Walk Harper, get everyone else out.

Just got plunked on tip of elbow (olecranon process). Edit: staying in game so far.

This is a fundamental misunderstanding of how real baseball actually works

Oh?  Then why were teams walking Harper to get to Zimmerman earlier in the year?  Because Zimmerman couldn’t hit.  Just like the rest of the lineup below him.

Dan Kolko
@masnKolko
Bryce Harper now drilled on his left foot. And this time, he’s leaving the game. Tough game for Bryce. Took a beating.

This guy is an enigma, has all the talent in the world but also has all the excuses too. Injuries, low babip, etc. The BS opinions of him are clearly psychological but he has proven year after year that he can get hot THEN go on an extreme cold slump when pitchers begin to walk him a lot. That’s go to be in his head. Something Trout can EASILY overcome. I don’t own Trout and never have but I wish Harper could handle it like Trout has

Harper has only had one really good fantasy season in his career. He is easily the most overrated player in fantasy... Blame it on his prospect status and name brand.

Maybe he can get a $400 million contract from a hair products company.

Because it certainly won't be a baseball contract.

Doesn't even seem to be hustling out grounders. Just seems disinterested.

trade him.  hes not playing bad enough where you need to take a discount.  you can probably get just about anyone with a handful of exceptions straight up for him or if youre stuggling, trade for two or three pieces.  there are plenty of other first round owners who are also not happy with their selections (arenado, stanton, turner, correa, bryant, goldschmidt, rizzo, etc).  swap him for one of them and go vent in their threads.....

I actually find the venting more constructive than the "OMG BEST HITTER SINCE BONDS" type hyperbole everytime he hits a couple HRs.

You joke, but his bad years have all been even-numbered.

The most over rated fantasy & real life player in MLB.

In 7 years in the league:

He has Scored more than 100 runs only once

Hit more than 25 hrs only twice(once 30+)

Never has driven in 100 rbis

Hit over .300 only 2 out of 7 years

I freaking Lmao everytime i hear this clown being mentioned in the same sentence as Trout, or any of the other legit first founders.

Also the next $300 million contract player??? Pleaseeee.

In 7 years, the guy has had 1 good year(2015)...

One may think this guys is puting up pujols #s to start his career, with the hype he gets.

Am i wrong?
