Kris Bryant 2018 Outlook

They should just leave him out the next week and bring him back after the all star break.

Agreed. Shut him down and give him two full weeks to rest that shoulder. No need to rush it at this point. Cubs are in good shape as far as playoffs are concerned.

my thing is was this an injury that bryant has been hiding? I mean suddenly he's sititng out a few games, then hes dl bound, extends dl stay, etc.  Is this basically a reason for his crap numbers? just venting/speculating here.

Exactly this. The concern is that it has been longer than just this year. I mean the guy hasn’t been MVP Bryant for a long time.

I dealt him. I’m scared of all this shoulder talk. I can make up his second half stats if he finishes anything close to his pace.

It has been real, fellas

Bryant just received the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval, via today’s Sell column. The gig is up for Bryant. People are actually looking at the numbers. The name recognition from his MVP season of two years ago, has worn old. No longer a stud. The article recommends selling for 80 cents on the dollar. I couldn’t get that much in my Dynasty league. Yes my co owners read the numbers too.

People writing him off are insane.  Dude is an elite hitter and homering last night proves his shoulder seems to be fine.

Are we sure it’s not just rest?  He hasn’t looked like it’s been bothering him during his at bats.

It could be. He just had a week of “rest” though.

Yeah, these were my thoughts initially too.  I guess Maddon must be taking extra pre-caution.  Initial reports today are just rest.

I get it if you’re the Cubs Manager. Rest your guy coming off an extended DL stint. For fantasy purposes this isn’t exactly gonna jumpstart his year.

Good call.  It’s shoulder soreness.

The lost season for Kris Bryant. Untradeable at this point. Two consecutive sub par seasons. Some of his supporters I believe called him “ unlucky”. Some will point to the shoulder injury. Me? I’ll take 50 cents on the dollar if I can.
